"This is a lovely old character property dating from 1700's with much history situated in the centre of a small village close to the church. The accommodation was functional & comfortable & adequate for our needs. We were a group of 3 (a couple + 1 single) so there was plenty of space with a choice of bedrooms - there are bedrooms on the ground & first floors, with a shower room & separate toilet to the ground floor then bathroom (shower over bath) & toilet to the first floor, meaning we each had our own privacy & facilities; we all found the beds comfortable. Towels & bedding are provided. Each floor has a separate water tank with plenty of hot water and good showers. Heating is provided by electric wall heaters & you pay separately for the electric by euros at the end of your stay - the weather was a little chilly for the first couple of days (mid May); we only used the heater in the kitchen occasionally, the lounge for a couple of hours each of those days, then the bathroom towel rail for morning showers - cost for the week was circa 13 euros so very minimal add-on cost. The kitchen was well equipped and the hob, separate oven & microwave meant we were able to self-cater very easily. There is a private gravelled courtyard with planted area & a few folding camping-style chairs available - outside dining is by way of a picnic-style table with benches. It is quite a suntrap for late afternoon & evening 'sunning' after a busy day's sightseeing & the resident birds' birdsong was a delight. The nearby church does have the bells rung but this seemed to cease after 10pm & not start until 7am, with occasional peels (which we assume were for services) - we didn't find this a problem but if you are sensitive to noise don't let it put you off, just take ear-plugs just in case :) Large English TV to the lounge with plenty of seating. Pre-arrival information was clear & helpful, in-property information detailed & local English agent on hand if we needed her. There was plenty of free parking nearby in the car park opposite the end of the property."

"The apartment on Rue des Magrats has an excellent location and was also clean. The kitchen is exceptionally well equipped. Disadvantage there is no storage space for what you take with you, there are no closets at all. Not in the kitchen for kitchen utensils and not for clothing, but also no place where you can store your suitcase or bag. There is no air conditioning, and that was very hot in the hot summer of 2018. Most important, however, was that we booked through Belvilla and were under the assumption that we arrived in the Holidaysuites building ON THE SEA, with two full bedrooms, because this building on the photo was at Belvilla, but on arrival this was absolutely not the case, and we had an apartment 44A with 1 bedroom and a sleeping corner. Belvilla and Holidaysuites both said that the other person was responsible for this. Disadvantage of the sleeping corner (with bunk beds and third mattress on the floor) is that it is very difficult with young children, because how can they sleep in a quiet corner of the living room? Or how can the parents talk or read in the evenings if they want the room to be dark and quiet for the children? Sitting on the balcony was not an option, because then you have to go to the children too, with three older children this is less a problem, but yes, then I do not know where you store the stuff of three larger children, because cabinets are absolutely not in this flat.Other point about this flat he is far too full, with too much furniture, which way too big for the small flat. Throw the half out and you have a better flat.Advice for anyone who books through Belvilla look carefully in the booking which house you have, because the pictures of Belvilla do NOT show the right flats so that you, like us, end up in the wrong house."

"With 10 people we have rented this house for a week. The accommodation is beautifully situated, it is truly a domain with a huge lawn and a pond for the door and forest all around. The road to it is untouched, but that is not an objection, it's his charm to drive a mile through fields over a gravel road to your stay. The house itself is spacious and in a reasonable condition. The bathroom has been recently renovated / built and very large. The decor is reasonable, but of a high Ikea quality so it looks nice but the quality is moderate. For example, the beds you absolutely end up in a pit in the middle of the bed or feel a feather here or there. Some other minorities (which we have already encountered in previous reviews) - The house is terrified. In addition, one of the five bedrooms is located on the vide.- The billiard is in poor condition, the table tennis table does not deserve that name .- The kitchen is modern but too small to cook for 10 people. Conclusion a beautifully situated House that can accommodate up to 10 people and where left and right the interior needs improvement. Have a nice holiday!"

"Had a very good holiday here, with plenty of helpful advice from the English owner online and a visit from the local English lady and gentleman who help look after the house. Well equipped with plenty of room for all ten of us. Location is very good (only just over half and hour from Dunkirk) and we made good use of the local boulangerie which is within easy walking distance. Ideal site for visiting Ypres and other war sites, St Omer is nearby and also it's a shortish trip to Bruges. Only issue we had was with the electricity supply which "tripped" when we needed both heating (at the beginning of the week) and to use appliances at the same time. We were warned about this by the owner prior to arriving (it's a French supply issue) and once the weather warmed up it was no longer a problem. Very good value for money."

"The accommodation was fine but the arrival there was downright bad. Had no e-mail received with codes so Belvilla had to call and then holidys who claimed to send mail sent again etc but well that succeeded. Then the WiFi did not work for a meter. Again called hope explanation what did not work they went or send mail with explanation. 7 x mail with login code of the house not of the WiFi 1x mail that I still have to pay !!. And still no WiFi they have a very strange system that does not work. This is a shame as we look for the next day in the evening. In short, we were not really satisfied with that."
