"Everybody who joined us for this family celebratory weekend at Silverlands commented on how beautiful the house was. We felt privileged to "own" the place for a few days, and we had a truly wonderful time. The house was very well appointed, everything we needed was there, it was very comfortable, and Lesley and Mark gave us a really warm welcome on arrival. Cooking on the Aga was a bit of an adventure... but it was a new experience and we ate well all weekend, so it was all fine! as we were having a family gathering, we didn't really venture out and about very much, although we did briefly visit local towns and of course the New Forest common ground. A very peaceful part of the world. I cannot praise this place highly enough, and I really hope we may find an opportunity to visit again."

"Overall this was a fantastic place in which to spend Christmas. Very large and our party of 11, including two teens, loved it. Only issue was that the 1st floor shower in the east end of the property leaked into the ground floor bedroom, with water dripping from the ceiling beam onto the wooden floor. There was staining on the wood, so this had obviously happened before but there was no warning of it and the wet floor would have been dangerous (e.g. for a disabled person) if not spotted. A baking tray was hastily put in place to catch the drips. And - any pianists out there - the piano is not in tune but is playable. We managed Bach's double violin concerto with piano accompaniment - just!"

"Hired Saughtrees for two families to celebrate a birthday there was 11 adults in all for the weekend. With in minutes of arriving it felt very cosy & homely it is stylish & tastefully furnished also helped by the caretaker only a phone call away if there is anything that you need help with. We did feel that it could benefit from more fridge & oven space as when there is so many people staying in the house it is difficult to accommodate all your food & drink but after saying that we booked again tomorrow as overall it was a superb place to stay, in fact we already have & are returning early next year for another celebration."

"What a fantastic place! Stayed with large family, adults, kids and dogs to celebrate a special birthday. We loved it! Very well equipped, lots of space for everyone both inside and out! The kids loved running about and seeing all the horses in the adjacent field. Both Debbie and Sarah were very helpful, such a nice touch to get chocolate cake and flowers on arrival. We had a great time playing an array of songs on the piano. Comfortable beds and powerful showers. Weather was fantastic but we all commented that this house would be great in Winter too."

"We had a lovely weekend. It is a great house for a family get together. We were worried that the owners annex was so close to the house, but Mark and Lesley made us feel very welcome and it was nice to know if there had been a problem they would have been close to sort it out. There was a pool which was very cleanand inviting, but unfortunately it rained. However, rain did not spoil play. The house was well stocked with games, books and videos, which we did not have time to watch, but the children enjoyed playing with the games and toys."
