"Brilliant location with easy access to the forest. Anywhere you wanted to go, e.g. towns, villages, the coast was within a 15/20 min drive and there is a gorgeous pub, butchers and well equipped shop in the centre of sway that’s in walking distance. The house is comfy and well equipped but a few things let it down. The interior is VERY 70s and feels like you’re staying in an elderly relatives house. Wood chip on the walls, thin carpets, floral curtains, etc. The kitchen is immaculate except for the drainer where you put washing up and is a little bit stained. There is everything you need in there to make a meal from scratch and the cupboards and drawers really were very clean. Bathroom was nice with good shower but then the sealant around the bath was mildewy and the shower screen leaked every time we had a shower. Other than that though, immaculate. Bedrooms have comfy beds and loads of hanging space in the wardrobes ( with hangers) but again just a little thing, in the twin there weren’t any valences in the bottom of the beds and the duvets were small and so kept on falling off in the night. Lastly the carpets could do with a good clean and the walls a lick of paint but this really is me being picky. I think the 3 star rating and pics on the website showed me exactly what to expect. I think for the money paid, there could be some very minor improvements to really make the cottage worth the money. Overall though we did enjoy our stay. It was in a quiet residential area and there was a park around the corner for our daughter to play. The forest was beautiful and would recommend this cottage as a base to explore the area. It was well set up for dogs (we don’t have one) and as a none doggy family the rooms didn’t smell of dogs."

"I was very disappointed with this cottage, I booked it based on the main picture which was very misleading as it makes it out that you are booking the cottage not just the black part shown in the picture. The internal pictures where accurate to what you got. You were able to share the main garden but it would have been better for a private garden to sit in nearer to the cottage. There was cobwebs in the window which wasn't very good. The bed was very uncomfortable, it would have been better to have a sofa bed so you could sit on a night and watch the television rather than having to sit on the bed all the time. Also not sure why there isn't a cooker in the property as there was room, I don't think two rings on top of a microwave oven is acceptable. I wouldn't recommend this cottage. The main road outside is busy at all times in turn make the cottage noisey, complimentary ear plugs would be a good idea. The water kept over heating and making a noise, I worked out where the switch was to turn it off after a very noisey first night, this may be something to note in the notes for guests."

"The cottage was a perfect size for our family of four, with plenty of rooms (and hiding places!). The stairs were shallow and our 2 1/2 year old could manage them (although a stair gate was provided). Well stocked, kitchen and generally (i.e. bins in each room). Nice garden, short walk to common with ponies grazing and well placed to travel to many places. Not too many inside places to visit for little kids if weather is bad but enough as long as you don't get rain all week! Shower over the bath was great. Caretaker Norman extremely friendly and helpful. Local village shop well stocked. No local takeaway delivers but pub does takeaway fish and chips!"

"I stayed here for about a month while house hunting. It’s a great location, very quiet with views and busy with birds. The owners are lovely, helpful, but unobtrusive, and the accommodation is spacious, comfy, and well equipped. There’s a very good pub about fifteen minutes walk (it has a very good menu). Within the same sort of distance there’s a Tesco Express, Post Office, bakery, off licence, and a great fish and chip shop. Ringwood is a short drive, as is the A31.I used my Vodafone mobile for internet connection, with good 3G and sometimes 4G reception. The signal was consistent enough to stream video without interruption."

"Great rural location with wonderful views across fields and woods from 3 windows, including a ' loo with a view'!! Bird watchers' paradise - massive variety to watch all day at the feeders.Splendid walking opportunities, nice local pub 5 minutes' walk away - busy, good food, with horses tethered as well as cars...…..Accommodation very small but adequate for 2 for short breaks. NB Steep ladder up to bedroom (sloping roofs) Beware if you get up in the night!!Had everything we needed, except a small sharp kitchen knife. Bit cold in January, but did warm up and we enjoyed our stay."
