"My wife and I enjoyed a week's break at the end of July with our three, pre-teen granddaughters and would like to thank the owners for all the care taken to make us feel welcome. The cottage was in a good, central location to explore Wales and in a most beautiful part of the Country. It was so spotlessly clean throughout and with lovely, clean, fresh bedding. Although advertised as "dog-friendly", there was no trace or smell of dogs which had previously stayed (even only the week before). It was very well kitted-out with a range of quality appliances, bath, showers, fridge, freezer, oven, microwave etc. There was a complete range of quality pots, pans, cutlery and crockery; we needed not to have brought anything with us.We did appreciate the little touches of wine, flowers and chocolate for the children which made us welcome from the outset. The well-prepared "Welcome booklet" and leaflets catered for every eventuality; shops and supermarkets were not too far away at Newtown and Llanidloes. My wife and I enjoyed the small library of books; everything had been so well thought out.Our children fully enjoyed the hot tub (again, beautifully clean and serviced), the "play-shed" was well equipped and there was even a selection of board games for good, family fun. We found, close by in the village, there was even a well-equipped, play area which was clean and well maintained: the views from there were magnificent.Yes, there was traffic during the day, but it was very peaceful at night; the beds were comfortable and we all slept well. The owners were readily available, if needed, but their visits to service the hot tub were very discrete, always respecting our privacy. We have stayed in other cottages before and this was, by far, the best.Thank you"

" It was perfect for our 16 month old and we felt relaxed and like it was home from home. The hot tub and the views from it were amazing, we would highly recommend time in the hot tub in the evening with the amazing starry sky - hardly any light pollution! We loved the super king bed & will miss that lots. Half way through the week we were asked how things were which was good. The WiFi was great, especially as we didn’t get phone signal. The games room was freezing so we didn’t venture into it, but the heating in the rest of the place was perfect and it was quick to heat. We visited The Ela Valley many times, Devil’s bridge and Gilfach nature reserve. We also did lots of green laning in the Landry. We organised a Tesco delivery! We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay and loved it being so remote and quiet. Was definitely one of these best holidays we have had. The only negatives were that it didn’t have much personal touch like a guest book or reccommendation book. We also did not meet Carl the owner and that might have been nice. He wasn’t great at responding to texts in the lead up to our stay. The smart tv was fab but we couldn’t really watch it as streaming was too slow. Nothing major, a brilliant stay and we will definately be back!!! "

"We spent a very relaxing week in Garden Cottage. Front and back garden very safe for our dog and lots of walks nearby. The facilities were excellent, particularly the games room, hot tub and woodburner. Very comfortable beds and spotlessly clean when we arrived. Friendly and welcoming owners. Local pub serves excellent food, and whilst dog friendly mid week when it isn't too busy, this meant small dogs. As our dog was a greyhound we had to ask very nicely that he be allowed in. Shame that the local shop/post office is no longer open, as it meant having to drive into Newtown to be able to buy a pint of milk. There is a very busy main road outside the cottage, but the sound impact was minimal. We would highly recommend for a relaxing and peaceful holiday."

"Loved it.We were a group of 6 with a dog and we all had a lovely stay.Made contact with owners, for arrival and immediately felt comfortable. When we arrived we were made welcome. The cottage is quirky and you can see the original features and the newer add ons. All rooms were quite spacious. Lots of communal space, living room, dining space, conservatory, large kitchen with all mod cons and plenty of crockery etc for eating in. Large fridge freezer and laundry equipment in the utility room. Steep steps to garden, but flat level space where the carport and hot tub are. Lovely log burner. Storage heaters were great. Very quiet location with pub only a few yards away, which was very friendly serving good food. We really did have a lovely stay."

"Great base for visiting family living locally in Llanidloes & very conveniently placed for attending a fantastic family wedding held at Plas Dinam Country House, which is within walking distance. As keen cyclists and walkers, Garden Cottage proved to be an ideal base for both activities. The games room was very popular with our 2 grandchildren with many happy hours spent playing table tennis and table football whilst the hot tub was a great relaxation for the adults. The cottage had all the facilities you could wish for, whilst the local pub, which is just a few minutes walk away, provided excellent meals for the evenings we didn't feel like cooking ourselves. We will certainly return in the future. Andrew & Jenny"
