"This was our second visit to Pen Copi and although it is set in a beautiful location the cottage itself now feels extremely tired. Obviously it is Avery old cottage and you would expect certain things not to be as you would find in a more modern cottage, however there were things that could have made it more enjoyable. For example I did comment last year on the very old cooker, this was still the same this year so it could definitely do with upgrading and it could also do with more baking trays etc. Although the sink in the bathroom has been replaced, the towel rail is still hanging off the wall and the walls itself are peeling and flaking paint very badly, as they were last year, presumably as this appears to be rated it has been tested for asbestos? The bathroom floor was very dirty with an obvious build up over time. A shame these things have not been addressed as the cottage and location are fabulous."

"Bryntrisant is a lovely little cottage and an ideal base for exploring mid-Wales. It is surrounded by farmland and when we stayed (end April) the fields were full of lambs.Pros: Cosy, real fire if you need it, well equipped kitchen, comfortable sofas, excellent shower, comfy bed, good size garden, great views, quiet locations.Cons: Bed needs a bigger duvet, not suitable for tall people - doorway out to hall/downstairs loo can't be more than 5.5 ft high and is quite deep (I hit my head three times) and low beams in the bedrooms, small fridge very low to the floor. There is also no DVD player which I hadn't spotted in the cottage details so had to buy a budget one from Tesco in Aber."

"Lovely little cottage, we didn’t quite realise how small it was but really is a beautiful little place in a perfect position. It’s a quirky little property and would not be suitable for young children or people with less mobility as you do have to climb into upstairs toilet through a big window! Really enjoyed the outside space, could of done with a few more bits of furniture out there but other than that the space is amazing. The dogs absolutely loved it and the owner was especially accommodating leaving bowls and a bed for our dog! A beautiful lemon drizzle cake was also left for us on arrival. Hosts definitely make the effort to make the stay as good as possible! X"

"We cannot rate this holiday high enough! The two main outstanding features of this lovely cottage is how quiet the area is and how spotlessly clean it was! Phil and Jenny must be very proud to keep it so fantastically clean, even in the countryside where cobwebs and spiders tend to lurk there were no signs of any of these. It was cosy, well equipped and had everything you need. We ate out three times in the Halfway Inn just down the road in Pisgah, the food was excellent as was the scenery in that part of Wales. If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of normal life we cannot recommend this cottage enough!"

"Thank you for the beautiful flowers and card. We really enjoyed our stay in your lovely bungalow. It's so clean, cosy and comfy. Couldn't believe how peaceful it was there, had some lovely nights sleep. Beautiful view too. Walked to the nature reserve and other days out all day walking in hills. We were lucky with beautiful weather. We stayed for 5 nights from Wed 17th April and left Bank Holiday Monday - hope we left it as clean as we found it! Hopefully be coming again. We've not been to the Elan Valley for over 6 years and forgot how beautiful it is. Thank you again. "
