"The lodge is perfect for 2 people that like to go on walks and then chill in the evening . The nearest shop is a chocolate shop...perfect!!There are supermarkets 12 miles away in Aberystwyth. There us the local hotel in walking distance if you want to eat out. We prefer to take a packed lunch on our walks and cook for ourselves in the evening. I enquired with the owner about freezer space before we went as we didn't want to waste time shopping and preferred to take all our supplies with us..as there was only freezer space in the fridge the owner purchased a freezer and put it in the shed outside...she also purchased a gas bbq which was most welcome as we had glorious weather. The lodge is small but perfect..the bed is so comfortable..and it lifts to store baggage etc..there is no space for a wardrobe but there is a coat rail in the bedroom with enough coathangers to hang your clothes from. The outside space is private..there is a lovely planted garden..a patio with seating area and table and chairs..bird feeders which we kept topped up..and the icing on the cake..the hot tub..we went in every night and just laid star gazing. The caretaker comes daily to check it and is also available if you have any other problems. I cant fault this place at all we loved it..the owner is so accommodating too. Yes the lodge is small and it has normal size furniture which makes for a little less space when walking around inside..but hey..how much walking around are you going to do..there are large windows which give plenty of light and if like us you will spend most of your time outside anyway...it a 10 all round from me x"

"Wet room was damp and smelt so bad, the door was kept shut and we didn't use it. Outside the wet room the wooden floor wS soft because of water damage. The windows were that streaky it was hard to see out and were in desperate need of a good clean. Taps on the bath fell off if touched. The owners have a cat which insists on entering the property whenever it can. The few hot days we had we couldn't open the door or windows because the cat would get in. Even managed to get comfortable in my car as we unpacked! The dining table was that grimy it was sticky. The three piece had seen better days it was impossible to sit in comfort. One of the children's toys went behind the three piece, to my horror when it was moved there was a use tampax and what I first thought was a dead mouse. Turned out to be a cat toy, however the other object was disgusting. Sky TV did not pick up any channels apart from Welsh speaking ones or news! Beeb 1,2 ITV anything else forget it! The hot was full of products to kill germs it smelt worse than swimming baths and I suspect never gets changed. Oh and the hot tub was always strangely cold?? The patio furniture consisted of one wooden picnic table which was falling apart the kids playground was old and worn. The washing line was nearly completely collapsed. Think you get the picture by now, would I return? No, but the area we stayed had breath taking scenery so would return to Wales."

"Amazing cottage and facilities. The owners were so helpful and made our stay extra special. The location is fantastic. We felt like we were in the middle of know where, total retreat, yet we were actually only a short drive from Aberystwyth! The jacuzzi was so warm, boiling, which is somthing that you don’t get in some places, you could adjust the temperature to, had colour changing lights for ambience, was large enough for four. Games room with pool table and table football was great, played loads in there. The cottage was spacious and facilities fab. Shower and bath water really hot, heating great to. The top room was lovely with a skylight window, was so nice seem gbthe trees out of it and hearing the rain on the glass. Bliss. We will be going back and I highly recommend this place. You can call the owners once you’ve booked for any questions, which we did, and they were so nice and pleasant to speak to. They even gave my daughter a small gift as it was her birthday! Also recommended us some nice restaurants. I really have no complaints for this place!!"

"This is a wonderful cottage with everything you could possibly want, it is tastefully decorated and furnished and spotless. We were met by the owner, Byron who showed us around the property and explained everything we would need to know. There were homemade scones and flowers waiting for us, which was a lovely touch. The wood burning stove is great for a cosy night in and the hot tub is superb, it certainly is a great way to relax after a busy day sightseeing. Having stayed is a lot of properties with hot tubs this is certainly the best one by far. The location is great for a quiet relaxing break and the scenery is breath taking which ever way you go. We had three young children and there is plenty of space for them and us, and the wifi was great for children. I would definitely recommend this property, you certainly won't be disappointed."

"Good little cottage in a small village off the beaten track, it is well presented and very clean, the owners are friendly and helpful and respect your privacy. Booking was a no fuss affair and the owners kept in touch with directions and information long before we arrived This place served us well for exploring this area of Wales with beautiful coastlines and small towns to visit There are plenty of walks to be done (plenty of maps supplied in the cottage) within the local area If you are in the mood for driving I would highly recommend heading inland past Devils bridge and taking the mountain road through the Elan Valley, spectacular. Last but not least the hot tub is simply brilliant especially at night under the stars. We had a good stay and recommend that you visit and explore the area"
