"Upon arriving at Pen Copi we were so delighted to see that the cottage was set in a large paddock and the front elevation overlooks fantastic uninterrupted views of the snow top mountains and open landscape. The cottage is absolutely beautiful. Good sized rooms which are nice and cosy. Perfect for a family of 4 + 1 dog. Towels and bed linen provided were lovely and clean. Fluffy towels! And the bed linen smelt fresh. I have to say the beds were very comfortable. The open fire was brilliant, the fire was set up for the first night so just needed lighting BUT no matches provided to light it. Luckily the Tesco delivery man was a smoker so we ambushed him. We had a Tesco delivery so we didn’t need to go out shopping for food but the local village does have a Spar. Beautiful walks locally. We liked Hafren Forset the most. Gorgeous waterfalls, streams which form from the River Severn. The few down sides-•No matches provided to light the fire. (Not on arrival)•1 pot on the left hand side of the fire (cast iron). We lifted the lid to see if matches were in side it but no, the putrid smell that hit us in the face from inside the pot was awful. It smelt of stale urine. We had to put the pot outside! •No baking trays provided. However there is 1 roasting tray but with a family of 4 this wasn’t enough. •1 plastic spatula provided, when making pancakes this item was inadequate as it started to melt. A metal spatula would be an added benefit!•Cobwebs - I know it’s a 17th Century cottage but the cobwebs that are in corners above beds and in the the bathroom would be easy to reach with a feather duster. •Bathroom (Downstairs)The paint work needs attention. It’s cracked and peeling in places. Possibly due to lack of ventilation when the shower is used. Maybe benefit from a fan or trickel vent. •Light Bulb- The wall light fitting in the kitchen to the left of the fridge freezer has 1 bulb out. It would have been an added benefit if blankets for the lounge were provided for evenings to make it even more cosy."

"very low beams over doorways. 5ft! and some angled! hit head five times over 3nights. bad cuts. bathroom lock sgarp edges cut thumb open. back bedroom very creepy.felt creepy atmosphere. kitchen utensils very poor and ancient.heating on constantly and unable to open tiny low windows. outside night lights should be on permanent in the night and not acting on sensor only. as its pitch black outside cottage.driveway.very loose gravel and on a very very steep gradient. van tyres had trouble getting traction. wouldnt stay again if it was £100pw . felt like a half completed project.doorwars need to be addressed.very hazardous and unsafe sharp edged beams. you are constantly walking around with a stoop or hunched over position as every room has very low doorways. and so easily you can forget and hit your head on solid oak beams.gad blood pouring from my cuts.not gd at all. poir location as tio much off the beaten track. takes alot of fuel going up and down the hills and bends. much better to find something in carno or carcews that would be on flatter ground. poor property. would not receommend in any way. have to pick keys up from landlady and hand back to landlady when leaving. inconvient if your then packed early and waiting around to leave. steps to property very narrow. not suitable for children this property and not suitable if your over 5ft tall! air in cottage was stiffling and claustraphobic. better off staying in a caravan and saving your money. fuel and sanity! creepy atmosphere generally in cottage and very below health and safety regarding very very low beams. and mind the bathroom lock. sharp edges will cut your fingers as it sticks open and closed.stayed in many cottages this would be the worst one i have ever experienced. beautiful area that i know well. but stay elsewhere!"

"Travelled with family of mixed ages (8 through to 74) and all had a wonderful stay. The cottage was decorated to a very high standard and all facilities on site were as described. The location was quite rural, and it took us a couple of attempts to find the right access road, but this just added to the adventure. We were also advised of this beforehand so there were no surprises. The village itself is very small and doesn't have any shops but the small town of Tregaron was only a 10 minute drive away and had a Spar which was handy for break, milk, etc. and a lovely takeaway. The kids loved the outdoors area behind the cottage although this is probably quite weather dependent. They loved the large hot tub though in all weathers. Aberystwyth is only a 35 minute drive away if you need more civilisation and has all the usual high street chains, supermarkets, etc. and was nice for a trip to the seaside for an ice-cream and arcades, etc. Would also highly recommend a trip to Devil's Bridge to see the waterfalls and explore. I would highly recommend the property for those who don't mind the rural location and would definitely stay again."

"This is a cosy cottage but definitely not premier as billed. The bathroom is in a poor state. I didnt know settees could be that uncomfortable. There is either a bee or wasp nest in the chimney stack of the master bedroom. My partner and i ended up sleeping in separate rooms not what i had planned for my holiday. The kitchen lino was lifting up and was a trip hazard. This could be so beautiful but needs some TLC. The garden furniture was filthy and the bench in need of repair. The bbq was a tiny rust bucket and not suitable for 5 people the lounge was too small for 5 too. Sorry to moan but it could be so much more... the garden was beautiful and the beds comfortable."

"Words cannot describe how perfect "Green Lane" house was for our recent 4 day stay, as a group of 8 under 30's it was proving difficult to find somewhere that would match the criteria we needed- Green Lane ticked every box. The host was fantastic, providing all details of local taxis, pubs and local paintballing details with names for each of the above. The milk in the fridge on arrival for tea and coffee along with chocolates was a lovely touch. I would HIGHLY recommend this house to all.... it looks just as nice as the photos show and we are already discussing going back. Thank you ! x"
