"What a gem of a find! Not a far drive to Holly Daze, Meathop from our home and very easy to find, with a parking space upon arrival. A very welcoming property which is spacious throughout and is clean and well presented. A lovely thought and a real treat to have a fresh loaf of bread, butter, milk and a bottle of wine in the kitchen for us to help us settle right in. There was every pot and pan you could need, washing up liquid and dishwasher tablets, oil, tea, coffee, sugar etc. The sofa's and beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was modern with a powerful shower. A vast array of DVD's, books, a good tv and wifi kept us well entertained when we were inside. I would highly recommend this property to couples, and families alike. We went with our 3 month old son which perfectly suited our needs. Although there's no bath, he enjoyed his first 'sink' bath and there was plenty of space for the crib we took with us next to the double bed. The cottage is in a fantastic location, nearby to Grange-over-Sands which is just 2 mile walk away. Nearby there are local small supermarkets for your needs without having to go afar. We can't wait to go back!"

"We rented Barrow Cottage for a family celebration. The beautifully renovated house in a fabulous hamlet location suited us perfectly. The property was extremely clean and well equipped with everything we needed. The beds were comfortable with crisp clean bedding. The bathrooms were amazing with fabulous power showers. The spacious sitting room was well set out allowing some of our party to watch tv, while others played games by the roaring log burner. The lawned area would be great in the summer, with a good table and chairs. The cottage is positioned with very easy access to major routes. We ventured to the nearby woodlands hotel for dinner, the food was good, although the service a little Fawlty Towers. The Wifi wasn't working at the time of our visit, but we didn't miss it too much. A guest guide might be a good idea to give people an idea where good resturants/takeaways/supermarkets etc are. We throughly enjoyed our stay and we were reluctant to leave. I would highly recommend this cottage and we will return . Thank you so much xx"

"Had a wonderful stay at this cottage for new year. The cottage itself is beautiful; lovely and cosy and felt like a home from home. It had everything we needed, and more... excellent kitchen facilities (with lots of ‘supplies’ to start you off) not forgetting the lovely touch of fresh bread, milk, butter and even prosecco and chocolates waiting for us on our arrival! Cottage was spotlessly clean and really spacious (plenty room for 2 adults and 2 teenagers). Beds lovely and comfy. Large number of DVDs and books available, and a cupboard full of games and jigsaws - perfect for spending quality time with the family. Big bonus with teenagers around was access to WiFi. In a lovely area with a hotel a few strides away. Lots of tourist areas a short drive away. I would highly recommend this property; we enjoyed it so much we have already booked to go back next new year!"

"Photographs of cottage and equipment it offered were accurate and we were very pleased with whole experience. ( Could we request addition of potato peeler and cheese grater to be supplied, - not something we thought to bring ourselves!) It had been unseasonably cold so would have liked extra bedding to have been on hand. (Blanket chest on upstairs landing empty.) Regrettably only one toilet roll was in bathroom. If responsibility of holiday guest to supply, could we ask that we be told in advance? Cottage is in a beautiful and secluded setting, within easy reach of amenities, places of interest. Certainly will return again to such a lovely venue!"

"We had an excellent holiday - the cottage was lovely, plenty of space, beautiful inside, comfy beds, well equipped. the owner had thought of everything. It was also in an excellent position. The only slight negative is that the cottage is actually on a road, I got the impression it was in a farm complex so was quite surprised to see cars going past right outside the window. Saying that, it wasn't a busy, fast road but cars did come along it quite early in the morning i.e. 6.30 onwards. I live in a really quiet location so this was a little disappointing but it didn'tr spoil the holiday and I would still recommend the cottage and return again"
