What our customers are saying about our Self Catering Holidays In Llanegryn.
Mrs Donley - verified booking
"We have had Sykes cottages befor so our expectations were very high; we were not disapointed. The cottage was clean tidy and comfortable; first impressions are important especially when your only there for a week and alot of trouble had been taken to give a good impression. The kitchen was well stocked and easy to use and keep clean. The lounge and dining room comfortable and a pleasant space to be in. The beds were very comfortable and there were plenty of spare pillows ect Wardrobe and drawer space adequate. Decoration all through was good and looked as if it had resently been done. The front varanda and conservatory were where we spent most of our time; the furniture comfortable and the views superb. We even saw Dolphins playing just off the beach one evening. It was nice to have our meals alfresco whilst still being under cover. The steps up are challenging; but by the end of the week we were noticing that they were no longer a factor. The views and the cottage are well worth the climb. We would recommend this cottage to anyone who is looking for a holiday cottage with benifits; but doesn't mind the effort of walking up to it. Thank you for an amazing week."

"Briar bank is a beautiful place. It was clean and had almost everything that we needed to enjoy our holiday, although the WiFi connection was useless. The views from the front windows are spectacular and it was very peaceful once up at the house, well worth the hike up the steps in my opinion. However, some members of our party did struggle slightly with the steps and taking our luggage up was a real chore! I don’t think it’s stated in the listing just how difficult the steps might be for some people. The location of the house was nice with stunning scenery and wonderful beaches all around. This is not a place to visit if you like shopping or lively nightlife, but there are a number of quiet bars, restaurants and boutique type shops a short (ish) walk away from the house. The last inn pub is a must if you plan on eating out. All in all we had a lovely, peaceful holiday. We went on lots of walks and visited many interesting places such as Portmeirion, Harlech Castle and the sygun copper mine which are all short drives away from the house."

"The owners are very accommodating. Due to a logistical error, we arrived a few days late and the owners let us stay a few days more as the place had not been let.The property is very well equipped and even has a shed where you can put bikes, pushchair etc. The shed also houses the washing machine and dryer. The kitchen is well fitted with integrated appliances including a dishwasher. The rest of the property is very well presented.Comfort is a difficult one because everyone is different. I found the seating a little uncomfortable. My wife and daughter found the beds uncomfortable. The property is located very close to all amenities and ample parking is available. There is a chip shop nearby that can be a little smelly as you walk towards the property but it never seemed to enter the property and we had the windows open all the time as it was nearly 30 degrees. In all, I would recommend this property for a couple and would use it again, if I was staying in the area."

"Had a perfect week's escape to Wales in Honeysuckle Cottage Capel Bethesda. The location is lovely - set next to a small river around surrounded by trees and miles from anywhere. The cottage itself was very clean and comfortable and had a fully stocked kitchen including washing machine and detergent. The cottage has modern double-glazing so you will hear nothing at all when it's bed time. The walls are literally two-foot thick, too. In the morning, crack the window and lie in bed listening to the birds sing and the river babble. When we arrived there was homemade bread and shortbread along with two pints of milk and a box of farm eggs which made for an excellent breakfast the following day. I loved it and I'd recommend anyone looking to stay in the area to book this cottage."

"We had an excellent weekend away in the Ty Bach Twt cottage. The interior is decorated to a high standard with a very modern feel. Very well resourced in the kitchen with everything we could have needed. We were extremely pleased that on arrival we were greeted by the owners and to our surprise a lovely lemon drizzle cake had been baked and left in the kitchen for us, it was very much appreciated and a lovely welcoming touch. We would have liked to have used the hot tub but unfortunately the weather wasn't on our side. The location is perfect with only a few minutes drive to the beautiful sandy beach. We tried out a couple of the local pubs and they were also very welcoming and had delicious pub food. Would definitely recommend staying at the cottage, a home from home."
