Mrs Woolley - verified booking
"Property is difficult to find - there are only property names on one side of the lane which cannot be seen when approaching from the opposite direction. The property is 4 miles from the village and not as described. It is approached by a long, narrow and sometimes uneven lane but when finally arriving at Badgers Sett we were pleasantly surprised to find a very well equipped cottage. However, we were disappointed that the wifi was so poor!! The shower was also disappointing as it was very weak and not very hot. Unfortunately all the cottages had a power cut one evening (but the farmhouse was not affected). We were told that the power should be back by 9.30pm but that we might lose our water supply!! Power was restored but it would have been useful to have a torch in the property for such emergencies! We did have a lovely holiday in Cornwall and the cottage is located within easy distance of many of Cornwalls favourite tourist attractions."

" Its well equipped, in a quiet spot, and with easy access to main through routes. We received a warm friendly welcome, and after a brief bit of unpacking went off to find lunch. Nanstallon doesn't have shops / pub etc, but a 10-15 minute walk to the Camel valley trail you will find the Camel valley tea gardens. Tables are on terraces overlooking the trail, hot and cold food, drinks, cream teas etc. In the opposite direction, past Boscarne junction station (steam railway) there's the Borough Arms pub. good food, carvery etc. If you need a fish and chip fix, there's an award winning chippy in Lanivet, just a few minutes drive from the cottage. For exploring Cornwall, for those who don't wish to drive all week, Bodmin park and ride rail station is only a couple of miles away. Links to most major towns in Cornwall.. Had another great week! "

" We found our own way without a sat nav which was easier. About the accommodation — although it was quite nice it lacked the following, a) there was only one Tea Towel , b) there was no hoover , we had to sweep the floor if we accidentally dropped anything , c) there were a lot of spider webs above eye level, d) there was only the rubbish bag that was in the bin , there was no replacement. The lighting in the kitchen area was rather inadequate it was only a small fluorescent tube , so it was quite dim , there was no under cupboard illumination at all . Although the weather wasn’t all that good inside was quite cool we had to have the heating on. Finally the Wi Fi that was advertised was totally inadequate, we could only connect 1 device , and the connection was so very slow. Sad to say we won’t return next year . "

" We were warm and comfortable and had everything we needed. The wifi which was one of our key requirements in making the property selection was woefully inadequate - it was basically unusable - worse than 55k dial up modem. A speed test showed 0.1 mbps download and 0 mbps upload. We resorted to using our mobile phone to access the internet which was not very convenient. Either the owner needs to remove wifi from the listing or a proper solution needs to be provided. "

"We had a very enjoyable holiday at Wits End. It's a lovely cottage with a very well equipped kitchen, and we appreciated all the books, games and dvds in the evenings. Great location for exploring most of Cornwall! Perfect with a three month old baby but probably less so when they get to the rolling stage. Few minor points - We did find the bed rather uncomfortable and the paintwork could do with a general refresh soon to make the most of the lovely building."
