"A wonderful little cottage, furnished like a home rather than a holiday let. Well equipped kitchen, all the pans and kit that you need to eat-in. Good central location, parking for Volvo estate..never going to happen, but plenty of free parking just up the road. Booked last minute, not what we would have chosen but it worked out ok. Nice and clean. Just a couple of minor complaints.....they want you to water the pot plants but they can’t be bothered to remove the weeds that you have to step over at the front door...same as Wendover in Stanger Street! Only 2 x internal doors, bedroom 2 and the bathroom...therefore, between the living room and bedroom 1...no doors...anyone watching tv or using the kitchen...all open to the main bedroom, not good. New doors front and rear, not like the stable door shown on the photos...they may be thermally efficient composite doors but they are poor at sound insulation...cars driving along the main road....loud and clear. All in all an nice, clean, well equipped cottage....not what we would chose again but perfect for what most people need. Thank you."

"Lovely cottage in great location ( if you want to be in the town itself ). Loads of room in house - kitchen very well equipped . However the worst aspect was the lack of hot water - it was on a timer that we couldn't adjust and in the morning after one bath and one shower all the hot water was gone. So if you want to get up, shower, go out be active and get muddy and then have another shower - forget it ! The owner is putting in another shower apparently so let's hope the situation improves Also - be warned if you can't cope with teenagers smoking weed out the back of the property - happened about 3 times in the week - had to shut the bathroom window because of the smell !"

"Could do with a some wooden spoons in the kitchen and a new tin opener. Our only concern about staying here this year was that we were competly ripped off. We were staying in the house as we were attending the Keswick Convention. The week we were attending was changed and we had to change our booking. We were told there was no admin fee for changing our booking but were then charged £300 more (even though when I first booked the property the week we ended up going was cheaper). We have been seriously put of booking through you again as prices have now gone through the roof for the 3 weeks of the convention which then is wrong."

"My husband and i have just returned from a weeks stay at this charming little cottage, right in the heart of keswick, so much to see and do, the cottage was just like a home from home everything that you needed was there, i would and have reccommend this cottage, and the added bonus was not having to bring dirty laundry home as there was a washing machine, the weather was fantastic to so that helped us to get out and about and explore everything, and we got to see a man who broke a world record you dont get that on many holidays, just a pity we couldnt stay longer"

"Have stayed many times at Creldan house and it is amazing. Has been Ideal for our mix of ages over the years. However this time a change in dining furniture did not suit our needs. The new dining furniture was uncomfortable, left little space to get round and difficult to shuffle because of weight. Also had a small safety element because bench felt unstable. We were also unable to accommodate the youngest of our grandchildren around the table safely. Would definitely stay again but not with youngest of grandchildren"
