"We were a family of 14 from Denmark and Australia meeting for a week’s family reunion holiday and Chateau Gaillac more than met our expectations. We felt very spoilt. The chateau is absolutely beautiful and well kept. Built around 1860-70s it has so much character and the photos are a true representation of both the size of the rooms and the way they look. Beds were comfortable and there were 10 gorgeous large bedrooms most with 3 beds. 7 upstairs and 3 downstairs - and more than enough bathrooms and toilets. The lounge room, dining room and kitchen and upstairs foyer were also great for relaxation. Marie looked after us from the very beginning with a tour around the house. She was available to help with any issues. When she is away, there is a lady next door who comes to clean the pool and help with any issues or her son also came to fix the TV one day. Bed linen, plenty of bath towels and pool towels and toilet paper was all supplied to us for the week. There were even some spare swimmers in case needed. The pool was delightful and looks exactly like the photos. There were lots of pool toys for the kids and we left some too. The best part was the kitchen and the outdoor table. We had a young boy who couldn’t swim so it was important that we could see him in the pool while we dined. The kids were in the pool all night and we loved sitting at the outdoor table eating and enjoying a glass of wine watching the kids play in the pool. Marie even supplied some nice wine to start with. The house had 2 rooms with air conditioning the rest had fans. However, we closed the shutters during the hot days and opened them early in the morning and that kept the house cool. The location was great. However, we had such a good time at the chateau we only made it to Albi and Gaillac. We would recommend a trip to Albi to see the big red brick church - it is incredible. There are plenty of vineyards around too that offer daily wine tasting and we found some lovely local wines. The house has a number of bicycles of which 5 of them were in good condition and we went on a few tours through the vineyards. There is also a BBQ outdoor that we used a few times. All up we all felt the Chateau was perfect. We had such a lovely time and would strongly recommend this for any family or larger group gathering. There is plenty room for everyone to relax and enjoy."

"We were a party of 13 adults and 6 children, 4 under 18ths old. We arrived early and although Marie and her staff were busy preparing they made us very welcome. The chateau is large and spacious. Very French, as we wanted, but with all modern conveniences and a large kitchen. The chateau was very clean the bathrooms nice, hairdryers are provided. It is located within a 30min walk along country roads of the outskirts of Gaillac, a town with many restaurants including one with a Michelin star. It is in the heart of wine country. Marie the owner was extremely helpful. Wine and fresh local produce was a nice welcome gift. The pool area was well above our expectations, the pool was cleaned regularly. We ate breakfast and our evening meal on the veranda overlooking the pool, fantastic. Bikes were available which we used. We didn't hire cars, but would advise that people do if they want more than relaxing by the pool. Taxi to the town is quite expensive considering the distance (4 miles max for £12). Chateau to Airport 250.00 Euros thanks to Marie who struck a bargain on our behalf. The chateau enables you to have a BBQ with plastic plates or a 5 course diner with china on a long banquet table under a large chandelier. We very much enjoyed our stay and the family were disappointed that they were to return home. We would recommend that to enhance the stay of people at the chateau the bathroom towels are upgraded. We thank Marie and the staff for our stay at Chateau Gaillac"

"Beautiful, grand, spacious, spotlessly clean, very well stocked/ equipped residence. Lovely friendly owners ( and their friend Camille) who were very accommodating. We were 3 families, 9 children in total ranging from 2 to 12 years old. We all loved the chateau. There was more than enough space for all of us and even extra rooms if you needed to get away for quiet time!!! One of the dining areas is outside directly adjacent to the kitchen on a covered terrace right beside the pool so a long breakfast/ lunch/ dinner is possible while watching the children play in the pool. We all love exercising and there are plenty of quiet country roads suitable for long runs and cycles. The pictures on the website do not do justice to the chateau- it is a truly fabulous place and we all felt lucky to be renting it. There is a huge supermarket within a 3 minute drive of the property. There is plenty of nature in the large garden for those adults and children that are interested! I would really recommend this place."

"We had a fantastic week’s holiday at Chateau Gaillac in July 2019. We stayed there with our extended family of 20 - from 2 years old to 70 years old.The Chateau was excellent and provided an ideal setting for a large family group. There are 10 large bedrooms and plenty of living spaces for everyone to spread out both inside and outside. The kitchen was large and well equipped and has a large range cooker, dishwashers, microwave and laundry facilities. There is also a BBQ which we used many times. There is a great pool which was clean and there were plenty of inflatables provided for the kids to enjoy. There is also a table tennis table and bikes available and plenty of outside space to run around and explore. The local town is a 5 minute drive away and you will find supermarkets, local shops and a market there. Albi and Toulouse are also worth visiting if you have a car. The owners were very helpful and available if you had any queries or requests. We had a memorable week’s holiday here!"

"I stayed here for 3 nights whilst working in the area. It was a little difficult to find in the dark so another signpost for the house facing the road would be helpful. Lovely warm welcome on arrival and the place was spotless. I note guests are asked to clean the job, fridge sink etc on departure which I was happy to do. I had an issue with the heating on the second evening and the owner came straight over to assist which was great. The bedroom is cozy, the limited headroom and it’s in the eaves might be a challenge for those over 5ft 8 say but was fine for me! The only wc is downstairs so be prepared for this once you are upstairs for the night! All in all great accommodation which I would recommend, lovely owners"
