"We stayed for a weekend at Sea Breezes as we were attending a wedding in Yarmouth. The directions and location for our needs were brilliant - when we got off the Yarmouth ferry it was a 6-9 minute drive to the house. On arrival there was a lovely welcome pack and the owner was in contact beforehand to give information on the cottage and the area. Sue also found out about the bus service for us to get to the wedding. We were 2 couples and 2 grown up children - plenty of hot water, the bedding and towels were clean and comfortable athe bedrooms were on the whole comfortable although the twin beds were low and our grown up children found them uncomfortable. We made use of the garden furniture and the garden was sunny in the afternoon. It was a bit of a squash round the dining table for 6 adults but we ate out mostly. Approx 15 mins walk to Totland and Colwell Bay and a shop across the road for necessities. On a main road which I did not expect. Could benefit from some black out blinds as the light came flooding into the bedrooms first thing in the morning, so we woke early. Wifi etc and kitchen appliances all very efficient. Great stay - recommend!"

"Nothing too much trouble. We were left a tin of homemade muffins and shortbread. The kitchen is well equipped with masses of crockery, cutlery, pots pans etc. as well as a good fridge and freezer, dishwasher and microwave. Bathrooms very good although we did find it a bit difficult to get the shower to be not too hot; you have the change the temperature on the ascot boiler. The huge wood burning stove was so efficient that we had to turn the heating off! Good TV, plenty of games. Having such a large room as the living area meant it was ideal for a group as there are always little areas one can retire to for a nap or read a book. We went for christmas and found the place decorated which was a lovely touch. The walking in the area is great. The dog loved it. Fabulous views from the cliffs which are short a short stroll away. Very good pubs abound although the local WIGHT MOUSE pub was not great. Highly recommended. We will be back."

"The wood burner is not a wood burner, it's an electric imitation. General cleanliness was not up to scratch, lots of hair on the floor of the toilet upstairs, had to wash most utensils before use as they appeared grubby, and the plastic dish drier on the draining board was very soiled, had to put it through the dishwasher before use. Other than that a general dusting would not have gone a miss. Availability of a hoover would be good. Welcome pack ?, a bottle of red wine ?, most other places we have stayed at with Sykes have boasted a personal hand written note with general information and where to find things + a loaf of bread, orange juice etc, and a couple of other bits and bobs. However, a pleasant property in what we found to be a quiet location and good base for days out of which we had plenty.Nice clean and roomy house in a quite area we had to ring up to have towels made available as there was a mistake on the website"

"We stayed at Cliff End House as a family of three with a 22 month old. The property is spacious and well equipped with all the amenities we needed, including tea, coffee and sugar. It was lovely to be welcomed with a pint of milk and custard creams. We had an issue with the travel cot on arrival but within 30mins of us leaving a message, the property agent text to advise they would arrange for a new one to be delivered so excellent customer service. I was slightly worried about the number of reviews on the leaking shower but I’m pleased to say it’s been fixed and it’s much larger than in the photo! Probably one of the best showers! The parking for the property is on a shared driveway. We had an estate and as long as we parked close to the garage on the left it was fine for the neighbor to get in&out. The master bedroom was very spacious and has a very large comfortable bed."

"Arrived and opened the door Wow i said this is amazing Every room decorated to a high standard TV in kitchen lounge and both double rooms Very comfortable and breath taking views would recommend to others and we will be back Thanks to the owners for wine, bread tea coffee and sugar milk in fridge and some other items in cupboard although did not use muchWould stay here again in the future. Very hilly in Ventnor, but we all benefited from the exercise we were forced to do. Children flew kites while the adults watched from the many places to sit and eat on the seafront. We were blessed with perfect weather for our late October holiday. Thank you to the owners of St Joseph’s for a great place to stay, and to Sykes Cottages for arranging the holiday for us.The price advertised was what you paid. Will use this company again."
