What our customers are saying about our Self Catering Holidays In The Isle Of Wight.

"We spent a wonderful week at Red Squirrel cottage whilst walking the Isle of Wight coastal path. Our hosts Anne and Mike were very helpful providing useful information on places to eat and drink and attractions to see. They went above and beyond by providing us with lifts to start and finish of our walks when required, an unexpected and very helpful and kind thing to do.The cottage itself was everything you could wish for and perfect for the five of us. The bedrooms were spacious with amazingly comfortable beds. The bathrooms were well equipped and pristinely clean. There was an excellent supply of towels for bathroom and separate for hot tub. The kitchen was well equipped and the dining area and lounge were very comfortable. There were information leaflets and booklets and a supply of books and games. I'm sure the log burner would be a welcome addition during the winter but we were fortunate to be blessed with excellent weather. The hot tub was an added bonus after a long days walking and was enjoyed by everyone. The red squirrel even put in an appearance on several occasions. The barbecue was easy to use and a great addition during our fortunate spell of warm weather. The local pub served excellent food and drink and was a short walk away from the house. There were other excellent venues only a short drive away with some outstanding food being sampled. We would all highly recommend Red Squirrel cottage and thank Anne and Mike for making our stay so enjoyable."

"We arrived in February - cold, wet and windy - in order to go house hunting and the accommodation was very warm and welcoming. Lovely central heating radiators. The kitchen was well equipped and a bigger television than you get in a caravan. The bath/shower room is outstanding and the shower was very powerful and refreshing. It is set in such a quiet and idyllic setting and it was just like home. Our dogs felt very comfortable and relaxed, plus they enjoyed their morning walks which are right on the doorstep. It is in easy reach by car of all beaches and amenities. The owners made sure we were comfortable and everything was working fine. They are a very nice couple and extremely helpful and I would not hesitate to recommend the Stables to anyone who is looking for a break on the Isle-of-Wight. Absolutely brilliant!!! There is nothing about the accommodation, or anything else for that matter, that we could fault."

"A very comfortable cottage which was well equipped with everything you would need for a great holiday. The huge bed was nice and comfortable, great for a good night's sleep. The owners, Helen & Paul, were very nice and welcoming and were there if needed, but everything was satisfactory and we did not need to contact them. The views from the garden were absolutely stunning and we could not have wished for better. In the adjoining paddocks there were sheep and Shetland ponies which were lovely to watch while sitting in the garden, which was very dog friendly and our dog also enjoyed her holiday. The cottage was a great base to go exploring and it was fairly easy getting around the island. We would definitely recommend and look forward to returning soon."

"An excellent and well appointed property with outstanding views across the countryside. Helen the owner who lives nearby was there to greet us on arrival and she and her husband Paul were in contact regularly to check that all was well. We were staying for the whole month of February and the central heating was very efficient and easy to control. We did find that the reclining mechanism on the armchair was rather to difficult to activate and release. The flat panel TV in the lounge was excellent as was the DVD player, the only thing we missed was a TV or Radio in the bedroom. There is a huge Tesco Extra Supermarket just 8-10 minutes drive away.."

"The owner Helen was approachable and made the start of our visit relaxing. She produced a small ramp immediately for me, as I was aware of a step at the front door. Also Helen produced a sturdy seat to help me in the walk in wheel in shower. These items gve me confidence and was able to just concentrate on the holiday. We looked out at a field of goats and sheep and our little garden was enclosed allowing my little dog some freedom. The whole cottage was very clean and we were asked if any light bulbs we blown or if we needed more of the natural products Helen likes to use, just ask. We will certainly be going again, hopefully next year."
