"The photo above is not of 268 Gurnard Pines - probably another property on the site. Gurnard Pines is described as a Holiday village but many of the properties on site are residential and some are needing some care and attention. We were advised that there was parking for 2 cars immediately outside the property. There was space for 2 cars but not solely for the use of the occupants so the space was not always available. Whilst the property was very clean and most things were in very good condition the only seating in the lounge area was 2 sofa beds - not always easy to get up from. There was only one small wardrobe in the main bedroom - nowhere to hang clothes in the other two bedrooms - which just had a chest of drawers. We were fortunate to have good weather which was good as there was nowhere in the property to hang coats etc."

"The caretaker and cleaners were excellent and we enjoyed our stay at No. 83.The "cottage" is very well equipped and modernised but the lack of a dining table would put us off staying in this particular unit again. Plenty of electrical outlets but no bed side light! Bring a long USB cable if you want to use a laptop while charging. Wi-Fi is excellent but the location within Gurnard Pines appeared to have no mobile phone reception so if you need a one time code for banking etc. you may have to leave the building and go a little way up the car park. Noise from a nearby air conditioner is a bit of a negative if you like to use the garden table which is in the rear courtyard."

"We booked 4 separate properties for a large family get together to celebrate an 80th birthday. Ages ranged from 2yrs to 82yrs. Properties rented ranged from 2 beds to 4 beds. All were spotlessly clean and well appointed with everything one might need. Resort staff friendly and helpful. Leisure facilities superb and allowed everyone to spend quality time together. Would recommend 100% as a wonderful place for a relaxing break whatever the weather, Yarmouth was a delightful small town only 5 minutes away. Our impression was that the west side of the island was quieter than the east. Our party also enjoyed great walking, cycling, and bird watching outings."

"We have visited the West Bay Club now on 3 occasions. Unfortunately whilst reasonably well kept the village is showing some signs of neglect. The roadways were poorly maintained with quite a few large potholes. There were a few wooden features in the lawns that were clearly rotted and were just painted over. The windows and doors on our cottage were rotting so were not very pleasing to the eye. ..."

"It is definitely the staff that make this holiday special. They always go the extra mile to help us enjoy and maximise our time at West Bay From giving us some tea bags for that first cuppa in our cottage to enquiring how we felt about a class. It is a sad moment to return to the mainland because we are no longer being looked after and made to feel so welcome. Looking forward to our next trip."
