"Everything from start to finish of the booking process with John was absolutely first class, very professional and very friendly. The online photographs do not do Par for the Course justice, the lodge did actually look fantastic in the photographs and that was obviously what made me and my family of 5 book it, but on approach we were all very complimentary on how it looked in real life and when we entered Par for the Course it just got better and better. From the fabulous downstairs bedrooms and sauna and into the amazing kitchen and dining area with such beautiful views from the vast amount of windows. The dining table and chairs seated all of us very comfortably and the kids loved the bar stools for reading and drawing on. Outside the very long and wide veranda was set with a really large table and chairs all very comfortable and where I spent many hours drinking Coffee and indeed wine (we had a very nice Chardonnay left in the vast wine chiller by John) reading whilst my children were enjoying the hot tub day and night too.Up stairs was the breath-taking lounge that can only be appreciated by actually seeing it in real life. It is absolutely awesome, with a fantastic, huge and comfortable space, seating for 8 grownups, sumptuous carpet, an incredible TV combination, including Netflix, DVD and Radio. Off of the lounge was an outside Veranda again, where I spent quite a lot of time just reading and enjoying the views and smiling to myself at some of the golfers trying to find their lost golf balls (something I can appreciate only too well). From the lounge was our bedroom and en-suite, with the most comfortable and massive of beds I have ever experienced when away from home, everyone commented on how well they had slept in their individual beds and rooms, never really expect everyone to be so happy, so it seemed that Par for the Course had definitely done it's magic yet again. The en-suite had his and her hand basins which was a great addition, as was the shower which was perfect in every sense. The sauna was in the downstairs bath, toilet and shower room which was adjacent to the 2 down stairs bedrooms (perfect). We used the sauna 3 times and I can only say it was yet another lovely comfortable and indeed very clean experience.I am a chef and have to say that the facilities were exactly what I have at my home and there was not one single utensil that it lacked, which I have to say there has never been the amount and indeed varied types of glasses, flat-ware, bowls, cups/saucers, mugs and cooking items I have ever experienced at any other holiday, home or abroad. In conclusion, Par for the Course was our best ever holiday accommodation in the UK and was just an absolute pleasure to experience and live in from start to finish. To top it all off, John came to see us off which was a lovely touch and I was very impressed as he wanted to know if there was anything we thought could be done to improve his facilities, because he was genuinely thinking about improving Par for the Course for his future guests. What a Fantastic Gentleman he is and Oh by the way, we couldn't think of anything at all, Perfect Place and a Perfect Holiday, Thank-you John."

"Par for the Course can only be described as amazing! It is a very spacious lodge in peaceful surroundings. It has everything you could possibly need for a great holiday and is spotlessly clean. There is a dishwasher, high chair, washing machine and tumble drier if you need it. A wine cooler too which was kindly stocked with bottles of prosseco! There are plenty of board games and DVDs for both children and adults. We had a short break before our daughter's wedding in November, just what we needed. We spent most of the time in the lodge just relaxing and making the most of the hot tub and sauna. The weather was glorious which contributed to a wonderful holiday. The owner is contactable if you need him, he very kindly allowed us to have a late check out which was much appreciated. Our original booking was for another lodge on the same site but this was cancelled at the last minute by Cottages.com and there was much confusion, so we felt very lucky that John was able to accommodate us in his exceptional lodge."

"We had a wonderful one week stay at the lodge. The lodge is very well equipped and the owner, John goes out of his way to ensure your stay is very comfortable and if there are any issues they are dealt with promptly. The lodge is located in a perfect spot to have privacy and tranquility, the neighbours are wonderful too. The beds were very comfortable after long walks exploring the area, the wildlife was lovely to see and the hot tub was a hit with the whole family. Please be cautious with children using the hot tub as it does contain chemicals to keep it clean. We loved visiting the beach at Gorleston, hiring a host in Wroxham, circus at Great Yarmouth and the horse sanctuary close by was also wonderful. All in all we had a great time and would recommend."

"This was our first holiday with our youngest child who is 20 months and our eldest at 4 yrs old. The cottage was fantastic and catered to our needs. Sylvia was very helpful and welcoming having provided multiple leaflets and vouchers for local attractions. We thought the cottage was very nicely decorated throughout with a modern looking kitchen, a comfy front room and grand looking master bedroom. I would have liked satellite tv as we had a bit of down time with our youngest having naps and earlier bedtimes but that is only a minor criticism. We would definitely recommend this cottage to a young family due to the practicalities of the cottage and its ideal location to several local attractions including being within a mile of the coast."

"Found this property on the net and took a chance. It was everything that we expected and more. An absolutely fabulous, well equipped cottage in a fantastic place. All locals very friendly and obliging, we wouldn’t hesitate to visit this place again. An added bonus is that we picked a week at the end of March and we were lucky as the weather was great, it was like a week in the middle of summer. We travelled around abit, went on a trip on the broads, visited Yarmouth, Lowestoft, Cromer and various other quaint places. A truly fantastic break to remember, we drank in the local pub and strolled along the seashore. Highly recommended, thanks to the owners for providing a cottage of such high standard. March 2012."
