"General impression was pleasant and reasonable value. Great space in the property and fab pool. A few changes would make this place brilliant! Perfect size and layout for 2 families of 4 and a set of grandparents. The hosts;+ very friendly and helpful with tips on places to visit+ very responsive when we ran out of gas and was fixed within a couple of hours however am baffled as to why a spare bottle is not kept on site as would have made this a complete non issue! The accommodation;+ very spacious + lots of bathrooms+ low windows in the upstairs rooms but they did have bars (tasteful ones-not prison like!) and felt safe....on the downside;- very little in the way of “extras” compared to other lets we have stayed in; no soap in toilets and minimal loo roll, no milk or butter (with arrival late on Saturday and limiting Sunday opening these basics would have been a nice touch)- downstairs bathrooms are a bit damp smelling.- downstairs twin has a door but no window so couldn’t ventilate room at night with young children - a simple security chain would have fixed this!- sofa covers in need of fixing/replacing - paying extra for linen and towels grates me but appears to be standard practice in France Outside;+ pool is fantastic and great for kids. It has a decent shallow end, is very securely fenced and very well maintained. + garden is huge!...downside - swings were broken and unusable.Location;+ peaceful and beautiful.+ Languidic has all the amenities you could need+ great range of beaches 30-40mins away"

"The location of the cottage was lovely, the village of Tremolat is beautiful, but very disappointed with the cottage itself. The standard of cleanliness inside was not very good at all. The work surfaces in the kitchen were made of wood and were very sticky to the touch, there was no dishcloth/scouring pad in the kitchen.Just about every room had a very old plug in air freshener which was covered in a layer of sticky dust, the shower cubicle in the rear bathroom leaked. We were provided with just one bin liner and one bag for recycling rubbish, it would have been nice to have more than this. There was only one toilet roll in each bathroom with no spares available and although there was a dishwasher to use there was only one tablet provided. The pool area was quite nice but some of the decking and pool edging was very loose. So although we loved the location we will not be returning to the cottage or recommending it to anyone."

"Very good location, but no tourist information in house which is most unusual compared with all the other gites we have stayed in, plus no house comment book. Pillows very lumpy in the pool facing bedroom. As we like to play cards etc in the evenings,we found the dining room chairs very uncomfortable.( they were fold away picnic/garden chairs). As 2 of us have back problems we had to put settee cushions on the chairs and in my case a pillow across the back to make them comfortable to use.Not enough cups and cutlery for the number of people staying there, enough for one meal at a time."

"Tremolat itself is a charming and very pretty village and we were very happy to be staying there. However, I did not feel that the cottage accommodation was of a very high standard at all.Bedrooms in particular were very dated, best features were the pool area and the kitchen.Towels could do with renewing, they certainly were not of good quality. Most odd to have a dishwasher that is not in the kitchen?? Cannot see the point of that?I felt it was overpriced by a long way, we were expecting more for our money, after all it is not yet high season?!!"

"Everything bout the villa was fantastic, we had a lovely time. However, we were surprised when we started receiving texts from the cleaner of the property accusing us of leaving our rubbish outside the property. Although the booking came with "cleaning included", we tried to leave it as clean as possible. We left a few tied bags of rubbish at the back of the property as there were no allocated bins. The texts from the cleaners were a little distressing spoiling what would have been an almost 'perfect holiday'."
