What our customers are saying about our Self Catering Holidays In France.

"Whilst the cottage had everything it was very rustic! Home built kitchen but basic. It could have been furnished more comfortably with matching comfy chairs. The beds were not in keeping with the cottage and the mattress I found too hard but the rest of our party was ok with them. The partition walls are very thin and you hear everything! There is only one toilet and would benefit having two! The outside space could be made far more appealing. We had no shade, no Parasol, wire fence surrounded the garden on a hill so was not really useable. We had a 1 year old who was crawling and we couldn’t let her in the garden. Pool was nice with a sun terrace and beds, enclosed and the owner came and cleaned it every day. All in all was ok but felt it could have been a lot nicer and not worth the money really."

"If you want a slice of quiet and traditional authentic French countryside living than this is for you! The cottage is lovely, charming and spacious and your really feel like your are living amongst the locals rather than in a holiday home. Everything we needed was in there; oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, lots of fridge and freezer space. The only thing it was really missing was Wi-fi, but for such a rural location the mobile data signal was excellent. The gardens and pool are well presented with plenty of sun loungers. The views around the property are stunning. The local area is beautiful and there are a few towns with supermarkets 15-20 mins away. Definitely would recommend it and would go back again!"

"The house was very nice and spacious allowing us room to spread out. The outside was also very nice with garden furniture and a pleasant view. The two sites which made up the gated estates of Port Minervois were nicely tended and well looked after. The swimming pools were extremely good and the small shop/cafe was handy, although not open for long periods of time. We all enjoyed our stay and would recommend to friends. As we travel around France a lot we often only stay for a few nights at a time in one place but Port Minervois was ideal for a weeks stay. The area is very pretty with the Canal du Midi and nice cafes and bars on its banks just a short walk away."

"Alan and Margaret are great hosts and very helpful in all situations. The enclosed gardens have different areas and are very dog safe and friendly. Alan & Margaret have worked very hard to make it this good ( and still are ). Our dog really enjoyed himself playing with Lucy and the other visiting pooches. The accommodation is not far from La Rochelle, Rochefort and other well known places so days out are enjoyable as is the return to the peace of gardens where you can choose to sit in the sun or the shade. We had a lovely relaxing holiday and could well return in the future.🌞⛱ 👍🐕"

"Great relaxing week in a very charming stone cottage, tucked away from everything - some great neighbours who passed frequently and always had time for a wave and a Bonjour :-) Pat the host, was most welcoming and if you needed anything or wanted to know anything, was on hand to assist. Will definitely, be going back to stay at some time, just wish the walk to the local bar / restaurant / boulangerie was a little nearer / staggering distance :-)"
