"This is an excellent old cottage located just a few minutes from sea at Wickham. I think it has recently been refurbished and so provides a good standard of accommodation suitable for a family. Its situated at the top of Wickham Hill and has plenty of off road parking space. The cottage is very clean with comfortable beds. The kitchen is kitted out well and we were well able to cook several evening meals. There is a full size oven and plenty of saucepans, pots etc but we always take our electric steamer with us.to use which helps The dinning room and lounge are of a good size and allow the family to spread out. Being old and having very thick walls the inside of the cottage remains cool in the summer and possibly warm in winter time. There is a Tesco Express located at the bottom of the hill (open I think from 7am to 11pm) but this has limited options. We took any favorite foods with us to put in fridge or freezer which helped out The garden is rough grass and probably difficult to play football on but it is safe for children. Don't expect too much from the wifi. (2 to 5 Mbps) Ivy House, however, is in my opinion good value for your money There are a few negatives which you may need to take into consideration. The accommodation is located at the top of the hill and a very long and hard walk back from the pub or the beach area. There is only one loo which is in the bathroom situated mid level between the bedrooms and the ground floor. The stairs are very uneven and may not be suitable for older persons or anyone with some form of disability. John Roseblade"

"Ty Bach is a beautiful cottage situated in a rugged unspoilt countryside. The cottage was a great base for exploring the surrounding areas of Pembrokeshire; the coast and beaches are stunning (miles of golden sand). We loved watching seals and pups at Deer Haven, Stumble Bay and visiting Tenby (a picture perfect town). The cottage itself is a lovely flint building and the kitchen is well equipped (just a bit dated). The place was generally clean but could do with furniture being moved during cleaning as fairly dusty behind some furniture. The shower head needs replacing as was just a dribble of water but we worked round it as had baths, or used jugs. However, a replacement shower head is a simple fix and should be easily sorted. We didn’t let it bother us much as the cottage was lovely base; beds were really comfortable and it is very pleasant. We would stay again as it’s a beautiful site; the grounds are full of flowers and very picturesque. The owner introduced herself at the start but we were so busy visiting the amazing Pembrokeshire sites that we didn’t have much time at the cottage but it was a lovely base and we would be happy to stay there again"

"We feel that Sea View is being completely mis sold. There was NO dishwasher, No BT Broadband, No Netflix, The outside barbeque was rusted with no inner trays so could not be used, the onsite restaurant and bar was only open on a Friday and Saturday night, out of season there is no where to eat on a Monday, the sea view is there but only if you have binoculars and look past all the other caravans, there were stains on the carpet, soap left in the shower trays, neither shower could be raised and the one in the ensuite didn't stay in the holder and the seat wouldn't stay closed. Private parking ??? if you see a space, you get it, the decking area around is enclosed but not private, everyone can see you. we were extremely disappointed with the whole package and for what we paid, it most certainly wasn't worth it. The pictures used to portray this lodge are obviously from when the place was new, it is very tired looking now and needs attention, also too much personal stuff left in wardrobes."

"In places the cottage is very tired, kitchen in particular. Appliances and cabinets all appear old. A lack of kitchen scissors was an annoyance. In the living area the sofas were small (for a family of 4), and also quite uncomfortable.Bedrooms seemed the wrong way around with the double bed being in the smaller of the rooms. This was also very hard and uncomfortable. The main problem though was the hot water. There was barely enough to run a bath - and it would literally run out, as in water stop coming out of the taps. Also the hot water was timed to come on overnight, whereupon the system made an amazing amount of noise, making it impossible to sleep.Outside the cottage and gardens have plenty of character and the setting is lovely. However parking for our family estate was awkward, and necessitated a lot of reversing."

"We thoroughly enjoyed a mini break at Sea View for 4 nights during October half term and were lucky to have dry sunny weather the whole time. Sea View is spacious and is well equipped (though the tin opener didn't work very well) and is set on a pleasant grassy site with a small play area which my two young children enjoyed using. There is also a small heated outdoor pool on site though this was not open (as it was late Oct). You can walk to 3 beaches straight from the site which we did. We also drove to Newport (not a very special place, and VERY narrow roads) and did a walk from there up Carn Ingli. The surrounding area is very remote which suited us for a short break. It was a lovely area in which to go walking."
