"We stayed here as a base for exploring the castles of North Wales. It was a bit of a last minute booking, but everything was sorted very quickly. The cottage was in a fabulous location surrounded by hills and sheep and was very comfortable and clean. We were made very welcome by the owners, with Mrs Jones baking us an absolutely delicious cake! Caerfynnon is a bit off the beaten track, but it was very accessible to the main road by car. The sandy beach was only about 10 minutes away with Dyffryn ardudwy about 1.5 miles down the road. There seemed to be lots of things to do and places to visit in the area - we were concentrating on castles so didn't have the opportunity to explore fully. It was so peaceful, with just the sounds of the sheep and birds to keep us company. Sadly the internet access failed, but Mr Jones was very apologetic and kept us up to date with progress, in the end we were so busy enjoying the glorious sunshine in the garden we didn't need it. The cottage proved an ideal choice for our stay and we are all hoping to visit again."

"The entire experience of our holiday was wonderful the service from Sykes staff was first class and booking was a breeze the cottage was a home from home and we were made extremely welcome by the owners with a welcoming gift of home made cake tea coffee sugar. And milk all there for us to use. Such a quiet location at the end of a private lane no passing traffic no road noise just the farmers sheep for company most of the time the facilities were excellent all cutlery pots and pans provided and clean bedding etc the only slight problem was no mobile phone signals but this was offset by the provision of free yes free WI FI all in all a truly enjoyable first time Sykes experience many thanks to all involved in making our holiday worth while"

"Cae Cerrig is a lovely property, extremely comfortable and well appointed with a parking area which is large enough to accommodate 6 vehicles . The rooms are spacious and the kitchen is well equipped. It is in an excellent location with beautiful views across Cardigan Bay and over to the LLeyn Peninsular and well placed for exploring North and Mid Wales. We received a lovely welcome from the owner who popped in shortly after our arrival to make sure all was to our satisfaction, in addition to providing (very much appreciated) welcome gifts including wine, chocolates and a selection of biscuits. We all had a great time and would highly recommend it."

"A wonderful house to spend the week with the whole family(8 adults, 3children and a baby). Lots of room and the kitchen was very well equipped. The hot tub was a big hit. BUT I checked twice with Sykes cottages that there would be a cot there, once by phone and once by online chat and I was assured there would be. We arrived just as the owner did. He had noticed that we had a baby in our party and thought it strange that a cot hadn't been requested. Fortunately he was there to unlock the store room and get the cot out for us. Thanks so much Scott and Sykes Cottages please note that you have to inform the owner that a cot is needed."

"It's a truly lovely house that has everything you need for a perfect holiday. For us the most important aspect is that it is dog friendly, and there are numerous walks straight from the front door, and the fabulous beaches at Dyffryn and Harlech are only minutes away by car, which meant that we hardly used our car at all. The owners are delightful hosts and nothing is too much bother for them. We have stayed in many cottages in France and the UK and this one certainly comes out in the top three. We enjoyed ourselves so much that we're thinking of booking for next year to make sure we get the week we want!"
