"Ease of booking online via the website and contact with the owner by telephone to confirm arrival time. Met by the owner and given a tour of the property with explanation for everything. Small welcome pack was a pleasant touch with tea, coffee, milk, biscuits and a bottle of wine. The location is first class for golfers as it is adjacent to The Carnoustie Golf Links Hotel with plenty of beach walks available along the coast line for those who don't.The facilities were excellent with very good wifi and plenty of cupboard space for clubs etc.The lounge was spacious and well furnished and the small veranda afforded a view out to the links. Kitchen was well stocked with equipment for dining in though we found the local delivery service to be very good. We would recommend this property to friends and would return."

"The owner Robert takes great care of his customers which results in a comfortable quintessential Victorian country cottage set in lovely quiet surroundings on the edge of a large estate. He ensures that the client is satisfied with all aspects of the cottage and assures them he is available to solve any problems although everything was perfect. The landscaped garden is a delight and fully enclosed if you bring your dog. We were greeted with background music and battery lit candles throughout - a nice touch. We will not repeat what others have said about the welcome provisions other than to say - WOW. A minor but exceptional touch was that there was a pound coin beside the telephone in case you don't have one handy. Superb cottage, excellent stay and exceptional attention to detail."

"I found the location of cottage excellent, dog loved the great walks on hand. I was let down with the feeling of not being safe in property. Outdoor lighting was poor, and doors were old and Yale locks were a nightmare when you have a dog who wishes out in garden. Decor was hurrendous, paint work was the worst I ever seen. Shame as this property is so ideally situated, best on street. Could be the most beautiful bungalow, yet short cuts to make it quick let, truly lets it down. Some TLC on the finer things people now want in a let would be good. Overall it needs new Windows, secure doors, nice patio area, proper paint work, etc.then I would return. We left early, I just could not deal with the doors. Very poor entrance door, boarded up and 1940s latches. Not for me."

"Lovely welcoming cottage. Overwhelmed by Robert's generosity with regards the Welcome Pack. So many thoughtful items, unbelievable amount of food and toiletries provided. We were even welcomed with Easter Eggs for each of us along with a lovely Easter planted basket arrangement. Lovely views from garden which is very peaceful and secure for dogs. Daily visit from a pheasant added to the atmosphere. Plenty logs and coal provided for the open fire. Wanted for nothing during our stay. Would agree that the double bedroom is tight for space and storage but did not detract from the holiday. This room is accessed from both the lounge and the dining room. Lots of books and games for everyone. Easy access to Dundee and the coast. Overall, a very enjoyable stay."

"We keep coming back to this properly friendly, well equipped and beautifully located cottage. Situated just outside the northern edge of Dundee there is good road access to the whole region via the A90 and the Tay Bridge. Highlights of our stays include walking in Glen Clova, Visiting Lunan Bay, visiting the falls and spending money at The House of Bruar and, since we acquired our greyhound, watching her run unfettered on St Andrews and Tentsmuir beaches. We generally come in autumn when the leaves are turning adding wonderful colour to the scenery. We picked a wet week this year but thoroughly enjoyed watching some movies with log burner providing all the warmth you could want. See you again next year."
