"This house was once owned by my great Aunt. She lived there for many years since she was a child. We would call into see her every day and we often stayed with her as she was quite elderly - she was 97 when she died. It was once a working farm and I still remember cows in the fields and sheep opposite her house. As children, we would pick raspberries from the garden and sell corn on the cobs from the front of the house. We used to shout 'Cooeee' as we walked down the 'passage' to let her know that we had arrived. The house is old and creaky with many tales of spooky things going on and bumps in the night. Stories of smugglers, murderers and hangings abound. As a family we all experienced things that we could not explain. Doors opening and closing and foot steps heard. The pantry door would slide open at night and a general feeling of being watched and followed felt. Despite this and the fact that the internal layout of the house has changed somewhat since then, the feeling of welcome and warmth has not. I could still picture where my great Aunt's favourite arm chair sat. The door into the now lounge is the same and still requires the knack to fully latch and unlatch it. Hearing the familiar click as it fell into place made me giggle. As a child, I used to sit on that door step a touch the wood as it was smooth and aged. It was a wonderful feeling for me to be able to go back to Aunty Gert's house. We had a fabulous, relaxing and comfortable stay. "

"The cottage is very well equipped and comfortable. Everywhere was very clean and well kept, including the garden which is well maintained and safe for children/dogs. We enjoyed staying there. We were made to feel welcome, and Jo (the owner from next door) was very helpful and friendly. The cottage is well placed for access to many walks around the area, and close to some lovely villages and towns inland, as well as within easy reach of the coast. Views from the high points are amazing! The road can be a bit noisy at certain times, but we were not too bothered as we were out an about most of the time. Quiet at night, which is the main thing! We were disappointed that the local shop in Winterborne Stickland has closed. Hopefully someone else will re-open it soon. However, Blandford Forum is very easy to get to, and there is a choice there. We would be happy to return to Lower Pleck, and would certainly recommend it to friends and family.Stayed September 2015"

"Just a fantastic experience from booking to the last day of our holiday. A helpful, polite team at Dream Cottages happy to answer our questions, proactively providing us with any updates and returning our deposit swiftly. As for "Seasides" itself, it was simply a wonderful place to stay. We planned to travel the length and breadth of Dorset on our holiday but as the location was so amazing and the property so comfortable we ended up only leaving Weymouth once. Beautifully decorated and inviting, comfortable and spacious with genuine thought given to the experience of guests e.g. providing local maps and books, games and a Wii for the kids. It was so good we've already booked for a year's time for a family gathering for a 70th birthday and are looking forward to it already. Compliments to both the property owner and the team at Dream Cottages, you made an extended family extremely happy. Stayed April 2016"

"We had a lovely weekend in the middle April in a beautiful house with amazing views from all windows in all rooms. The house was situated in a fantastic position between the harbour and beach. It was decorated and equipped to the highest standard and yet it was so homely and inviting when we walked in. There were 14 of us 12 Adults and 2 Children and each one of us had a wonderful stay and all of us said we would definitely visit again and recommend to our friends. The service from Dream cottage staff via email/online was excellent and nothing was too much trouble for them. Thank you to everyone involved in our holiday booking. Stayed April 2018"
