"Quaint, would recommend with reservations, the cottage was not particularly clean on arrival and the oven and kitchen utensils contained burnt - on food matter. The crockery and cutlery had been washed but food residue remained. The courtyard had gutter protectors laying spike end up which could have been stood on. The Shower even with the hot water supply running with ample hot water barely got to Luke warm temperature ranging to Arctic cold. The cottage is advertised as being able to use the immediate forecourt with a bench to utilise, this was provided however; this was impossible to use as the overgrown weeds and nettles made it prohibitive. Coupled with waste food bins and other refuse bin boxes being in the same space attracting flying insects. If you desire a holiday whereby you are not concerned by parking your vehicle within a 1/4 mile distance to this location then this will be fine for you. We had read the reviews on the parking issues and accepted that the car would need to be parked on the road where you could find a slot..... However; the local population were hostile to parking issues that tourists cause and this made for parking resulting in a nightly search with angry exchanges if you parked near a locals residence.Overall the cottage is tired requires maintenance and could be almost idyllic. If this had been cared for and readied for this years season of holiday makers and not appearing as though it was at the exhausted state one would find at the end of last years summer season. Consequently we have not rebooked for next year but should the areas mentioned be rectified this cottage would be worth considering.Almost forgot there once was a pub now a block of flats and there is a corner shop..... That never opens!!!!Again not as advertised it is possibly worth reviewing the locations amenities as it would appear that in one Season so very much had changed?!"

"The bungalow was pleasant and comfortable. We would have preferred the hot water not to have been reliant on an immersion heater. The bathroom needed a brighter bulb in the ceiling light and lighting fitted above the mirror. It was chilly in the bathroom first thing in the morning because the towel rail was never on. There was a constant loud ticking from a timer in one of the kitchen cupboards. The dog blanket should have been in a basket and not on the leather suite. Even so, it was worthy of a nine.On arrival, we were upset to find that the owners also run a caravan and camper van site and dog training classes in their grounds. If this had been mentioned in either the property details or reviews, we would have not booked. Even worse, was the lack of privacy. Opposite the kitchen sink window is a screened area for waste disposal and chemical toilet emptying. Attached to the bathroom is a toilet for the campers, which could be heard in the bathroom and bedroom, when flushed. It was not unusual for someone to be standing by the bathroom window, whilst holding a gate open."

"Overall a nice cottage, however the shabby chic decor can’t disguise the fact this property is lacking in general maintenance. The bins were full and there was some confusion as to which bins had to be put out. There was two sheets of paper with conflicting instructions! Our break was ruined somewhat as we were greeted with scaffolding erected outside our front door. Workmen were using our front porch area to transport their materials up to the rooftop. After speaking to the workmen, it turned out they were doing chimney restoration on next doors property, and they were told that this property would be empty for the duration of the work!!For this reason we left a day early as you don’t expect this when you go away for a few days break!"

"This cottage is superbly kitted out with all modern conveniences to the highest standards. The underfloor heating was good. Luxury having a wet room to both bedrooms and certainly ideal for people with wheelchairs. The bedding and beds were very comfortable. Good supply of towels. It is certainly a dog friendly cottage too, supplying food bowls and the luxury of their own fleeces for when the dog(s) were on the furniture. Something that I have never found in any of the many cottages that I have rented, let alone allowed to sit on the furniture! The cottage has many lovely walks right from the front door. Village shop within a mile. The local pubs have excellent food and service."

"A lovely little cottage which is ideal for a couple looking for peaceful and ideal countryside walks. Has everything you need from teabags to towels. You even get Netflix and Amazon for your viewing choice, and if you want to watch something that you pay for there's and honesty pot where you just put your money in when you have viewed. The village has a chippy local newsagent and there's even a curry van which I think comes round every Thursday at 5 . It's a very cosy comfortable cottage the bed is so comfy to you may just want to lay in for the morning and watch TV there. I thoroughly recommend this place and we will be back later in the year"
