"You get what you pay for.The location of the lodge is lovely, overlooking a lake and near a play area. The resort itself is good for families with small children. Food is reasonably priced and was very good. Outside beer garden with play area was great. We didn't use the facilities much, the soft play and roller rink were good, if a bit tired looking. Swimming pool was nice, fish and chip shop did lovely food. Laundry was expensive, we didn't use the shop or the dry ski slope. My main bugbear with the facilities was the early closing, pool, soft play and roller rink closed at about 6, which I consider to be rather early. The lodge itself was well stocked and had everything we required but as mentioned by a few people, it needs updating. The carpet is tired, the shower may as well not be there as it is useless. The worst thing was the cleanliness, terrible dust behind TV and headboards and multiple dusty cobwebs. I would stay at the park again but not in lodge 70."

"We had an amazing holiday in this beautiful house which is full of character, very clean and family friendly. We slept in the Botanical room and the bed was extremely comfortable. I enjoyed cooking (when we weren't eating out) in the well equipped kitchen. The location is ideal, close to everything we needed, good walks, great pubs, lovely bakery, shops and many places of interest. A trip to the traditional old school cinema, The Rex, is a must. Had a great time on the beach (one of many close by), a lovely walk from the very interesting Tyneham Village, with the children even having a dip in the sea (in early April)! Wish we could have stayed longer! Would love to visit Ammonite Cottage again and explore this stunning area some more."

"Unfortunately it is very old however, it smells dusty and damp, the furniture is extremely old, the wardrobes and drawers are not usable, they smell so musty and dated.. The house is for 7, although it sleeps 7 it does not sit 7 comfortably. In the living room there is only really seating for 5/6 if you squish up... There is very little supplied, so if you are travelling from far and just there for a week you are expected to buy everything... salt, pepper, all condiments, bin bags.. basically all house hold supplies.... I was disappointed. The house is overpriced for the quality and comfort. Sorry to say I would not recommend. Marti the housekeeper was very friendly however and did her best to improve our stay.Stayed February 2016"

"The cottage was glorious and had everything anyone would need and more. We had a fantastic holiday and coming back to the cottage every day was a pleasure. My mother is 87 years old and was perfect for her to be near lots going on but to also be only a little walk away for quiet and to relax at the cottage. We loved the carnival, the food, restuarants, shops and cinema in Wareham and the boats for hire too. We felt like a local and everyone was very friendly. Thank you and we hope to come back again."
