"Me and my grandparents had a wonderful stay here. We arrived after a 3 hour journey and with the helpful directions from the owners and also google maps found this cottage with no issues. The access from the main road leads on to a narrow lane but there are plenty of pull in areas and I never had a problem. The actual cottage was amazing and you can tell a lot of thought and love has gone in to the place. The owners left us had a bottle of homemade beer, homemade bread and also some local fresh farm eggs to get our holiday started which was a lovely touch. We were extremely lucky with the weather here in October and had some lovely days out but really enjoyed coming back to the cottage on an evening to cook and relax. I love to cook and this kitchen had everything I could possibly need, I was very impressed as I had brought a few bits with me just in case but didn't need to. We all spent many a cosy night with the log burner a blaze and wrapped up in throws, it was so relaxing. If we needed anymore wood for the fire we just had to phone or text the owners who were happy to get supplies and we just needed to pop the money in an envelope and post it through their door as they live in the cottage opposite. My Nan commented every day how comfy the bed was and how she'd had some of the best nights sleep here. We visited a few local places; Looe and also Talland bay but also travelled further a field to The lost gardens of heligan and Port Isaac. By the end of the holiday my Gramp didn't want to leave which is always a good sign and I think he felt very at home here. I would definitely recommend this holiday cottage as we all had such an amazing break away."

"I normally do not complain about many things at all. In this instance I shall make an exception however. We arrived at the cottage to find that the log fire was still full of ashes from the previous letting, the log basket was full of waste including and empty bag of coal. The paving on the way into the main entrance is lose and makes an awful racket as you cross into and out of the property. As you go into the cottage the floor tiles are loose and insecure, i lifted one out.The cooker was dirty and & my wife had to clean it before we could use it.The garden was beautiful and very well looked after, it was very secure and our dogs could roam freely and with no worry. The location is ideal right on the edge of Bodmin Moor, you are ideally placed to be within a short distance of many of Cornwall's amazing attractions. It is a real shame that the cottage is not looked after the same way as the garden because it has the potential to be a very nice letting but needs a lot more TLC.Pete"

"Lacking Wifi. Larger screen TV would be good as the huge windows and room tend to dwarf the current one. Also, the TV volume does sporadically cut out for a split second. These are minor points and would not deter a second visit. The location is very central to many points of interest (Bude, Boscastle, Tintagel, Port Isaac, Padstow, Newquay, Eden Project, to name but a few), and generally not much over an hours drive to visit them. The local shop is very good, staffed with helpful, happy people. The accommodation itself was superb and we had no issues with it at all. It was clean, tidy and very well presented.Oak lane does tend to get busy at 08:30 and 15:00 hrs due to school run, so be aware. Our little boy was sad to leave Treetops and thoroughly enjoyed the good selection of games in the games box, especially 'Mastermind', so thank you for that. :)The view over the countryside at the rear from garden and windows is great, regardless of the weather!"

"The owners were very friendly and welcoming. The cottage is well equipped, the beds are very comfortable. The kitchen had everything you need. The garden was attractive and if the weather had been better we would have sat outside, the gate provided excellent security if you had a dog.In terms of location it was OK, only an hours run to most places. We went to Padstow which was delightful. Bodmin is ok for supermarkets but not a place to linger. The apartment was down a drive, needs better signage. The apartment is underneath the owners house in what used to be store rooms so the ceilings were a little low for my husband who is 6 ft 3. The big tv was great but would have benefitted from Freeview. We found the main settee uncomfortable. It is a nice apartment. We are not the best folks to review as we were both poorly and left after only 3 days. Nothing to do with the apartment or the owner, just a rotten virus."

"Beautifully converted barn with tasteful soft furnishings. Initially, we thought the road noise would be too much for us (though set back slightly up a drive) but we did get used to it & at night there wasn't a lot of traffic. There was a musty smell in both of the en-suites. After use we discovered the powerful shower head could not be adjusted & position sprayed the floor each time we used it. We had to take it off & hold it away so it would not soak the floor. The kitchen was very well equipped with everything you could need. Nice touches by the owner leaving a cream tea (tea bags, milk, clotted cream, jam & scones). Flowers too. Good location by the Camel Trail. Would recommend & return."
