"We had a wonderful week in the cottage in July 2015. Its facilities were superb, with everything we could possibly want being available inside the building. We used all 4 bedrooms, each of which had a tv for late-night viewing, along with the main tv in the cosy, comfortable lounge and another in the very well-equipped kitchen. Our hosts had provided a lovely welcome package of milk, eggs, home-made scones, jam and cream from their farm; much appreciated! They called in to see us on the first evening to make sure we had found our way to Delabole and settled in. They were therefore able and very willing to provide us with first-hand information about local facilities and places to visit. The cottage is in a side road off the main road in Delabole, so easy to find. There is car-parking on the road right outside the front door, so easy to unload/load the car. The excellent local chip shop is literally just round the corner on the main road, so very handy for quick meals. A local shop in the garage is one minute's walk across the main road, so handy for supplies.Delabole has few attractions of its own but is a good centre for visiting other places in Cornwall. We stayed during the Delabole Carnival Week and therefore attended a few of the local celebrations, which were great fun. Delabole is only a short drive away from Tintagel, which we visited several times, including the castle on its own island. This is well worth a visit! Port Isaac is another lovely small coastal town with great character. Polzeath has a huge sandy beach for those who like bathing or water sports. We also went further afield, down to The Lizard, Land's End, Plymouth and the Lost Gardens of Heligan. Delabole was an excellent base for travelling to all of these. Our hosts went out of their way to provide a comfortable, well-equipped base for our holiday. I couldn't find anything to fault with the cottage or the facilities. As such, I'd recommend it to anyone wanting a large, characterful cottage to stay in and use as a central location for trips out. On top of this, the cottage was remarkably good value for money. Some of the other properties available were much more expensive yet had fewer facilities. First Class!!!"

"The cottage was cute and charming in appearance. The facilities in the kitchen and bathroom were fine and worked but were on the old. In addition the basin the bathroom was tiny. The tv was also tiny.We also advised by the owner of a water shortage in the supply reservoir and asked not to use the bath!!. We did not have access to control the property heating throughout the the cottage, one portable radiator was supplied and there was hot water all day however. Still I do expect to have plentiful water and control of the property heating when I book a holiday cottage.Parking for the cottage was not directly outside the property and we had a walk right though the property garden, via grass and and this route was quite narrow and awkward when caring luggage, groceries and such. Thankfully the weather was kind and we avoided wet and muddy shoes for the most part. The drive up to the property was also awkward, via single track roads for several miles...this would certainly put me off returning. Certainly not the 4 start cottage I have be used to booking with this company and have enjoyed over the years...makes me a little nervous now about rebooking anywhere else."

"All the rooms were very clean and the decor is modern yet cosy. Had all the essentials we needed and Rebecca was kind enough to leave us some milk and tea bags. Loved having a hot tub which is in a private area of the garden. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would love to go back! The house was clean, spacious and comfortable. The hot tub was a big bonus and the location was great for getting to all that Cornwall has to offer. Would highly recommend!Property was very clean and good quality. This cottage is well presented and nicely finished, well equipped, with hot tub being an great added bonus! Good parking and private garden grounds. Comfortable home from home accommodation. Sociable open layout in the living/ dining/ kitchen hub. Well located for all we wished to see in the County and with good local facilities. The owner Rebecca was very warm and welcoming. Was like been home for home. All the furnishings was high quality no expense spared. Great location for couples and families. Lovely little village with all amenities. Will 100% book again."

"A nice location and within easy reach for visiting the area and beyond. The property was very pleasant but a little cramped with 4 adults/3 dogs, but this didn't hamper the holiday at all as we were out all day, everyday enjoying what the area had to offer. This was the first time I had rented a house in the UK self catering so didn't have anything to compare it too. I found that the kitchen could have been a little better equipped in terms of utensils - the knives were very blunt and we only had 1 tea towel! These were very minor observations. The bedrooms were comfortable and we all slept very well. Dogs were well catered for with an abundance of dog towels to use - which were a godsend after numerous visits to the local beaches. They also enjoyed the lovely wooden dog bed in the porch. I would definitely recommend the house and area to friends."
