What our customers are saying about our Self Catering Holidays In Bowland Bridge.
- Mr Prigg, April 2018 - verified booking
"The location for us was perfect as the views from the garden and comfort of the cottage made for a very pleasant experience. The summer house in the terraced garden was an added bonus. We particularly liked the iron stove log fire with ample supply of fuel which made our stay very snug & cozy. A car is a must due to the cottage being located on a very steeep hillside. I could invisage risky conditions in the event of ice, as the road can be extremely wet after rain for a number of days as drainage is fast flowing down the steep road for couple of hundred metres until finding drains. Nonetheless with a car the location is ideal and as long as care is taken the cottage would be extremely cozy in winter. Thank you for providing your home for us to experience a lovely holiday. We would definitely like to return."

"The cottage was in a stunning location with lots of local walks available. The property was extremely well equipped and owners had obviously taken great care in making the most of the available space and decor was very nice.We met one of the owners who was very friendly and gave us some tips on local walks, etc.The pathway down to the cottage was a bit on the steep side but didn’t cause too many problems as there was an alternative entry available which we used with our two labradors, it was just easier that way.We had no real complaints, the description was accurate, getting in and out of the double bed was a knack which needed to be mastered. We just found the property a little too small, especially with the two larger dogs.Overall we were satisfied with our stay."

"Myself and my husband stayed here in September 2016. It was beautiful a great location to access the lakes we visited so many that we needed another holiday, the cottage was well equipped like home from home lovely and clean and warm, we watched the birds from the kitchen in the mornings. We lit the fire in the evenings, super cosy. The bed was really comfy with lovely bedding. The garden was beautiful with far stretching views there was a Booths supermarket a 10 min drive down the road. We had excellent weather during our stay very lucky. The host Barbara was lovely and knowledgeable there were a great selection of guides in the cottage (great for lake district first timers)."

"Cottage very overpriced, which I presume is purely down to location, as set very close to the Great Langdale Valley - a very beautiful place with walks from the doorstep. Sadly the cottage is absolutely tiny, with kitchen cupboards jam-packed with unnecessary equipment leaving little room to store your own food etc. Sitting area is uncomfortable and master bed in need of replacement. The cottage is a great base for exploring such an amazing part of the Lake District, but it is sadly not a place to relax and unwind. Could also do with a good clean - lots of dog hairs and food crumbs under the "dining" table; the shower also does not get very hot."

"Spent an unforgettable week, starting with the lovely owners who were very welcoming and helpful, even giving us a bottle of bubbly to help us relax! The house was great, two very comfortable bedrooms with fantastic views, a comfortable sitting room with a working fireplace, logs supplied! Great kitchen and bathroom with absolutely everything thought of. The garden was very pretty with fantastic views across the valley, could see the steam train going up and down, and the sunsets! The cottage was central in a great location, good walking all around, and a short drive from lots of lovely places; we loved it all."
