"We stayed here recently for 6 nights; there were 26 of us in our group (17 adults, 8 children (3y - 8y) and 1 baby. We booked the house (and the two separate villas) only one week before our holiday, having been let down by another chateau owner at the last minute. The house is beautiful, the grounds excellent and everybody had a lot of fun in the swimming pool. We had a fantastic time here and would definitely recommend it. There is a vey good dining area in the house, but we preferred to eat outside every day - there is lots of space and more than enough tables for kids and adults to eat at (there is a good canopied area too). Similar to other comments, it took us a while to sort out the room allocations (which involved moving beds about), but that was easily done. It was really hot during the week that we stayed and the second floor was quite warm, but the families staying up there bought a couple of fans and that helped. The second floor is perfect for children aged 5 upwards - there is also a fantastic dressing up box on this floor, with loads of different outfits, which all of the kids loved trying on (although sometimes a bit too early and noisly!). One night, we used the local caterers recommended by Regis (the owner) - cost 22 euros per person and the food that they delivered was superb (and lots of it); this option is highly recommended if you want to have a formal dinner one night. Only negative observations are as follows:- the kitchen was a bit dirty when we arrived, so we spent a bit of time cleaning everything. Not a big deal though. We booked the entire house at short notice. Unfortunately, it would appear that other guests had also booked to stay at the house on different nights during the week (most bookings through booking.com), so we frequently had people turning up saying that they had booked a room at the house etc. We then had to explain that we had a booking for the entire house, and they invariably had to contact Regis or Didier (Regis's manager) to arrange alternative accommodation at another place that Regis owned nearby. This happened on 8 or 9 occasions and whilst everyone that turned up (and subsequently left) was pleasant and understanding about it, it wasnt ideal. On the Thursday and Friday of our stay, some contractors turned up to get things ready for a wedding reception that was taking in the adjacent building on the saturday that we were leaving. This didnt cause us a real problem, except that they would occasionally come round the back of our house into the garden to check where they could put stuff (they tried to take a couple of tables on one occasion). They also tested the wedding sound system on the Friday night, and this was too loud and went on too long (from 6.30pm til after 8pm), which was annoying when we were trying to settle the kids and put our baby daughter to bed. Finally, the location is excellent, both for Magny Cours, Pouilly (great wine tasting) and lots of other surrounding villages and towns that are worth exploring. Overall, the negative comments didnt detract from a truly memorable holiday (the rating would have been excellent were it not for the above comments). Regis is a charming man and was always available to help us with questions or resolve any problems (we couldnt get wi-fi to work though). If Regis couldnt help, then Didier was also equally helpful (although he only spoke french)."

"We were very warmly received by the landlords David and Virginie. Very sweet and friendly people. There was a delicious bottle of bubbles waiting for us and a jar with pathé. A very nice start to our stay. It is good to remember that if you arrive on Sunday the supermarkets close early and given the later arrival times you have no groceries. After a long drive you often feel like coffee so it's good to take that into account. The accommodation is incredibly beautiful. Everything is there that you need to have a good stay and if there are any questions you can contact David and Virginie. The apartment downstairs is very spacious and it stays nice and cool inside even when the outside is very hot. You look out over the beautiful plot and the lake in the distance. A few meters away is the heated swimming pool where you can enjoy a beautiful view from the view. If you are looking for peace, relaxation and a luxurious and good stay then you are baked here. The environment is best typified as green and quiet. You can walk, cycle and go to the lake. In the neighborhood is a Lidl or an Atac supermarket where you can do good shopping. Approximately 12 minutes away from the cottage. We were ready for the peace and quiet and we had a great time. The beds were also nice! In the master bedroom there is a king-size bed and in the other room there are two small beds. Everything is available in the kitchen. You have the swimming pool for yourself at the moment that the upper floor is not rented out. Small point of attention is that there are some buttons loose on the couch. We have experienced the contact with the landlords David and Virginie as very positive. Very friendly, attentive and helpful which made us feel very welcome. Also arranging a cot was no problem. Not only were we warmly received, but we also said goodbye personally."

"I booked this property for a large group of 12 adults and 10 kids (although the property could take 4 or 5 more). The plan was to have a base as we cycled around the area. I am delighted to say this property delivered on every level and the whole group felt it was one of the best holidays we've ever had. The owner met us at the beginning and gave us a tour. Starting at the top of the house, there is a large loft area with rooms at each end. This is where we put the kids, and they loved it, it's a massive room. The adults then took up the other rooms in the property, which includes two outbuildings if some people want more privacy. On the ground floor there is a grown up dining room, sitting room, reception room and kitchen. We spent almost all our time in the garden area and pool. We ate outside every night on the decking. The kids loved the garden, which is huge, swimming pool is surrounded with trees and gated off, so if you have young children you can keep them safe. The surrounding area has a great deal to offer. The most useful amenities are in Magny Cours, which is 3km away. They have an intermarche, which has everything you'll need. There is also a pattiserie and pharmacie. Further afield, Nevers has some nice spots and you can cycle there along the canal, or turn the other way for Devizes. We also visited Sancerre and Moulins. Overall, this is a great property to rent. Nothing is too precious, but you have loads of space to relax and be merry. We hope to book again."

"The house and the garden made even more impression than from the photos. The house is in the middle of the countryside and is a part of the not too busy road in the middle of a very large garden, because you're mainly at the back, you have a lot of privacy.De garden is really fenced everywhere, that gives a great feeling of freedom. There is a lot of attention paid to the garden, with grass, many flowers, shrubs and (fruit) trees, but the garden is clear The house itself is tidy, modern and clean. There are two decent bedrooms with large closets so there are plenty of storage possibilities. There is a separate toilet and the bathroom with shower is tight and tidy.De kitchenware is sufficient, all imaginable appliances There are windows with shutters, so you can keep the house dark and cool if you want. Around the house you have a beautiful view of the hills of the Morvan in the east and the town of Crux-la-Ville You can see from afar which w you can expect the area. The area is beautiful and offers everything you expect from France beautiful nature, picturesque villages (both well maintained and neglected), beautiful roads to tour, few small shops, like almost everywhere in the countryside, but supermarkets in the buurt.Verreweg the best location we have ever booked through Belvilla."

"This was our 2nd time. We have booked it again because of lack of options, but also because it's great for our dog! She had plenty of space, could walk free in lovely garden and grove (terrain is fully enclosed) and enjoyed swimming in the vijver.Het house is ok, but not super. The bathroom was refurbished and was really an improvement. Hygiene really made to be desired (unfortunately). Were on could not place first wake up one day of huge noise, but turned out to be the central heating in the bathroom. This was at first, but it was because of the heat outside is not hot. It turned out .... sound way. Very separate, but follow for "one guest & amp;. Gtals it happens to you, but please check in first at the cv.De location is insane You're totally free and the trampo for children is great and then the pool, the garden!.! and (fish) pond & amp; gtsuper !!! With good weather you can almost no better place zitten.Nadeel no telephone connection in acute distress seems to us a problem, we walked the paved road, (quite a little... walk) and had then alternately yes / no connection. and no wifi for our adolescents less .... but if you want to go to a bigger super, go to Avallon (45.min) there is a shopping center with a huge Auchan , with D"
