"A bright, comfortable, well equipped apartment which exceeded our expectations. My only negative comments are:It is close to a road (not a huge problem but they set roadworks outside on our second day, which caused a lot of traffic noise with the lights outside our window). This wasn't the fault of course, but it simply means it is not a perfectly quiet, country setting. The bed in the main bedroom is a Double. The room is easily large enough far any size bed and a King would be better, particularly for tall guests such as me.That is it, on the moaning, though it would be a plus if the place had wi-fi. The mobile signal is very poor in this area and a connection would be most useful these days.Otherwise the place is well equipped, spacious, clean, tasteful and comfortable. We woulkd certainly stay here again"

"This holiday home was a one bedroom property for two people, however, it was very spacious and well equipped. As soon as I walked in I felt at home and comfortable. The surroundings and garden are beautiful and if I had come at a warmer time of year would have loved to have spent time out there. It is well off the beaten track so serenely peaceful, although not too far to visit various attractions locally. Abergavenny is only a 10-15 minute drive away, with a great town centre with many large outlets and supermarkets. During the week I stayed I was tempted to light the log fire, just for the good feeling a fire gives but the central heating was so good it was not necessary, in fact I several times had to turn the heating down."

"It would be a lovely holiday home in the summer and we felt very welcomed by the owner but it was very cold inside the house. The radiators and hot water ran off the log burner which meant you had to light it and check it every 30 minutes. Even when it was blasting it still did not heat the front room to a cosey temperature. We then had to use the plug in electric heaters which would of been fine but we had to pay for the electric as we used it putting pound coins in the metre which cost a good £6+ a day. If the electric was included I would return but unfortunately it lead to a holiday constantly worrying about whether we had change and how we was going to heat the home. Not the luxury cottage stay I was hoping for unfortunately."

"We were thrilled with the the accommodation. A lot of thought and care had been put into equipping and furnishing the flat . It was spotlessly clean and generously provided for. The small touches, like sachets of washing liquid and dishwasher tablets meant we did not have to rush out and buy extras. The welcome pack was also generous and a bowl of fruit beats a bottle of cheap wine any day.We live in a very rural area in Spain and wanted to be in a small town with access to the local shops etc. So the location was perfect for us. There is early morning noise from traffic and the post vans but we enjoyed feeling part of the town.Lovely local shops and pubs and fabulous countryside in easy walking distance.."

"This is a great place to stay. Ideal location to explore the beacons. Nice pub over the road with a friendly atmosphere. Can also recommend The Aberglais which is about a mile outside the village. Plenty of good walks and bike rides direct from the cottage plenty of others within a short driving distance. There is an Asda with a 24 hour petrol station about 10 minutes drive away. Also a Lidl just across from that. Food in the two pubs mentioned is also good. Aberglais was cheaper. Keith makes you feel very welcome.Overall we loved the quirkiness of the cottage and it's great location. Highly recommended. We will be back next year."
