"We very much enjoyed our stay at Halcyon which we found to be very well equipped, clean and with very comfortable beds. Some of the bedroom wardrobes were rather 'tired' and possibly due for replacement soon, but were clean and with a better supply of hangers than we have sometimes found in other properties. The rather heavy weight duvets we found too warm and it would be nice if more summer weight ones were provided. This of course is purely a personal preference. A welcome pack on arrival provided milk, tea and coffee and a pack of Welsh Cakes. We had a power supply problem with the electric shower in the en-suite bathroom while we were there, but the owner on being contacted got straight on to it and a visit from an electrician while we were out sorted it satisfactorily. A very large enclosed garden suitable for children to play in and a paved patio area if you choose to sit outside for meals. Ample off road car parking space.Well positioned just far enough out of the main village to avoid crowds such as we saw on Lifeboat Day (recommended though it only happens once a year of course) yet within easy walking distance of the village. Only a couple of minutes walk to a small food shop and even closer to a good fish and chip shop. Easy access by car back to Benllech where there are three small but well stocked supermarkets to choose from and nowhere is very far away on Anglesey.Well positioned on a beautiful bit of the island, easy access to the coastal path and some lovely beaches, I would be happy to recommend this property."

"This cottage is well located and is spacious, but unfortunately we felt that it had not been well maintained. It was damp throughout with a lingering damp smell and there were slug trails on the carpets downstairs with new slug trails each morning. We informed the owners on the first day of our 14 days stay, but they did not address the problem or clean the carpets during our stay. There were old cobwebs throughout and some rubbish from previous occupants in the house and garden. When we spoke to the owner, she indicated that the cobwebs and slugs were normal and to be expected, we disagree! There were several other problems throughout our stay including a bedroom door which would not shut and the ensuite shower which stopped working. (We see from previous reviews that this is a recurrent problem, but this was quickly repaired during our stay unlike the other issues.) When we raised the various issues with the owner, her attitude was dismissive and unhelpful. We had to follow up every day and the issues (apart from the slugs) were only finally rectified late into the second week of of our two week holiday. Overall we do not consider that Halcyon was good value for money and was not at the standard we have experienced previously from accommodation at the same grade. It was a shame to have this ongoing annoyance as Anglesey is a beautiful island. Despite the the problems with the accommodation, we did have a good holiday."

"We really enjoyed our week at Rutherglen which was only a short walk from the beach. The bungalow is on a quiet road. The bungalow is well laid out and very comfortable. The beds were really comfortable (which isn't always the case in rented properties!) and the linen was lovely and fresh crisp with big duvets. It wasn't a problem for us but the curtains are quite thin so the rooms were bright in the morning (if the quality of your life is dictated by how early your toddler wakes up then you may want to take black out blinds with you!)The furniture and decoration in the lounge and dining was of really good quality and we found the sofas were also really comfy. Having the sky box was a real plus for the evenings and the odd rainy day. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed. The washing machine is in garage which was also really useful as a bike store for us. The garden was great for our dog. There are some signs that the property has had damp/mildew issues in the past which worried me when we first arrived but it's clearly been dealt with as we didn't get any of the damp smell at all. I'd say the only downside was if you were expecting to use the garden Room as that really has a lot of mould etc We had a really warm welcome from the owners including a little welcome pack and fresh flowers in the lounge. Would we go again? Yes we would"

"Ty Gywn is a wonderful spacious cottage located not too far from Menai Bridge. There was five of us holidaying at the cottage and everyone agreed it was a wonderful location. The cottage is located, in what feels like, the middle of nowhere within 10acres of gardens, most of which are accessible to those staying in the cottage. Our dog loved being able to run around without a lead.We found the cottage clean and tidy with plenty of hot water and a porch area to dry/clean off on the way in after experiencing the lovely Welsh weather. My only minor point to raise is that there is a shower in the master bedroom's ensuite, but the main bathroom, which is downstairs, doesn't have a shower. For those that struggle to live without social media, WiFi access was provided but mobile phone access (on EE at least) is patchy in the house. All on all a great holiday location, which we are hoping to go back to."
