"I would also like to take the opportunity to say an enormous thank you for our magnificent wedding at your Chateau. Our friends just can't stop talking about it. I guess we'll just have to do the same over again each year! Not to mention the weekends in between. No but seriously, it was wonderful to have all the stress of organizing a wedding eliminated - for once. I only had to concentrate on myself. All taken care of by you personally and we were all made to feel incredibly welcome and as for the buffet it was simply second to none and with those fabulous table settings and decoration everything looked a million dollars. I had to pinch myself that it was all real! And as for the elegant sumptuous bedrooms - wow! In short there are no words good enough to describe the whole day, other than to say that you, Cynthia and you fairytale Chateau are the ultimate. It was a dream that we will treasure for the rest of our lives. It would be impossible to better this venue for a wedding, as I am sure all of your couples would no doubt agree? It really is possible to be a princess for the day. Will be in touch very soon. Take care, Love."

"We have not been back long from our short break in the chateau, what a beautiful place, we fell in love with it as soon as we saw it, we were looked after from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. The meals were superb and very well presented, nothing was too much trouble. It really felt very homely and very relaxing (we even got used to the church bells ringing). Zeus was always there to greet us when we got back from our day out, usually with a stick in his mouth. The surrounding area was beautiful too. On our wedding anniversary we even managed to get our photo taken in a field of sunflowers, something we have wanted to do since we got married. When we walked into the chapel for are wedding Blessing ceremony, I could have cried it was so beautiful, Fabian had done a lovely job decorating it with flowers and candles, everything went perfectly and it was a day to remember. I even managed to get the bouquet home to put on my fathers grave in Edwinstowe, Nottinghamshire. I cannot praise the chateau and staff enough. Many thanks for sharing your home with us"

"We had a lovely week at Domaine de Fontanelles. There were a few things however which would have improved it. Firstly when we arrived the oven was not working. We reported this and someone came to look at it but said it needed replacing. This happened the day before we left so for almost the entire holiday we had no oven. The house was fairly clean on the surface but furniture obviously hadn't been moved in a long time so under beds and sofas etc was dirty. The shower drain was blocked and the bathroom plugs had obviously not been cleaned in a long time - they were fairly disgusting. Cutlery handles were broken which meant they filled with dirty water in the dishwasher - which incidentally didn't clean very well. It feels like this house is a bit 'tired' and could do with a few things updating / replacing. The one sun lounger was also broken and unusable and the patio needed weedkilling! That said, the complex is great, child friendly and a great location for beaches etc nearby."

"We had such a wonderful time in the chateau. I wish we never had to leave. The dishwasher never did get working. Sandra and Mrs. Chariot did come to have a look at it and couldn't figure it out. We also checked the manual as suggested. We were told to turn on the tap, which was the first thing we tried, but it seemed to be turned off from some water main. All the lights would go on and it would make a sound like it was running, but no water came to the machine so it would stop itself. That was the only problem we had the whole time. I love the big bathtubs and heated floors in the bathroom and we all enjoyed sitting by the big fire on the cool evening. What a special place you have there. I am a luxury travel agent and will suggest your chateau to any of my clients coming to the Loire area and I truly hope to return myself someday soon. Thank you again for having us."

"Michel was a very nice host. He was exstremely helpful.Unfortunately, the interaction with his wife Monica was the opposite. Her mannerisms were exstremly concerning. The property was very dusty and smelt of mould. There was no internet available dispite the description stating internet was included. We left the property earlier as a result of Monica's bad hostile attitude. On the day of leaving, we left the property tidy, clean and how we found it. Monica walked into the toilet and stated we would be charged for cleaning because we did not use Harpic. I guess this is a way of gaining extra money from holiday makers. Unfortunately, we can not recommend the use of the cottage. Also it is not suitable for a disabled person or anyone who is visually impaired like our young daughter."
