"It is a lovely property and can be thoroughly recommended as a home-away-from-home for a couple (as in our case) or a family of four. Caroline, the owner, met us on arrival and showed us around. I was delighted to see (we took the property over Christmas week) the cottage beautifully decorated for Christmas, complete with tree and even crackers. A welcome hamper including bread, wine, milk, coffee and even a box of chocolates, was a very nice touch (some laundry liquid might have come in handy, though!). The owners encourage guests to use their beautifully-maintained garden, with a lovely lawn that adjoins the Nadder River, and the house is secured behind electric gates. Although it is in a built-up area about 150 metres from a railway line, we felt as if we were in the country and were not disturbed by noise from road traffic or trains (this was a concern for me as I am a very light sleeper). And despite the frosty -5°C we experienced one night, the central heating worked very well, keeping the house very snug and cosy. The only glitch we had was on our first evening, when we found the heating not working well. I reported this to the owner, who came in immediately and attended to it, calling in a plumber, who arrived within 15 minutes to fix the problem - being after dark during Christmas week, I am familiar enough with the UK to know this was nothing short of magic. There is a very nice 3-km footpath (“Broken Bridgesâ€, I believe it is called) nearby, that leads across the Nadder wetlands, which I recommend highly to anyone who enjoys walking. We also found the Lush House car park on Cranebridge Road a handy place to park and explore the city, a 5 minute walk to the cathedral and other attractions. I tend to be fastidious and picky about where we stay, but wrack my brains as I may, I cannot think a single negative thought about S123164: all in all, I couldn't recommend this property more and we hope to stay there again."

"\ We booked S123251 for a long getaway and were instantly thrilled with its location, privacy, and space . \ We came from Australia with two children not knowing what to expect and what we found was our home away from home.\ \ Location \ It was an easy, picturesque walk to the heart of the city, the cathedral. Restaurants, parks , grocery stores, pubs and sailsbury nightlife all accessible through walking . The train station to London is minutes away, should you wish to travel in for the day. There is a parking permit should you require one , but at times parking is difficult to find . ( but honestly not essential if visiting sailsbury) there are public car parks further down the road if you feel you need a car. All within a walking distance .\ \ House \ It is exactly as the description says , newly renovated, clean and fresh. Suits 4 and open plan living . Full kitchen for home cooking . Private court yard . Plenty of space for living . We in all honesty have no complaints in S123251. \ \ Owner \ The Owner was accessible whenever we needed her to be, from teaching us to use door locks to offering babysitting services. There was no question we felt we could not ask .\ This is a lovely beautiful cottage, we highly recommend it. Should you choose to stay here you will fall in love with this gem, and like us never want to leave . This cottage will be very popular, and we wouldn't stay anywhere else ! \ Thank you for a beautiful experience in your country and your town . \ \ Almost forgot ' Stonehenge ' ! If your here to visit Stonehenge, then this is the home for you . A quite walk into town and a $10 bus ride to Stonehenge or a short drive, then you can tick that off your bucket list like we did! Amazing! \ \ \ Ann & Craig Brinkworth \ Melbourne Australia"

"I stayed at S4019 with my partner, my parents and our dog. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at S4019. The location is perfect for Salisbury (10 minute drive from the nearest park and ride) and a 10 minute drive from stone henge. It is in a small village with a farm shop selling pies, cakes and vegetables and a pub called the Boot Inn that had a wide selection of lunches and evening meals. However, the shop was shut on Monday, our day of arrival. The cottage itself is gorgeous, just as I would imagine a cottage to be. The front garden is perfectly cared for. However, we took a miniature dog with us and he could have got out of the garden between the trees or through the gate. Not a problem as we had taken his extender lead with us so kept him on that. The family have thought of everything! They had a doggy cupboard with a selection of items for dogs - and had even provided the details of the nearest vets. Everything you could possibly need and more was provided. Child gate, hand washes with every sink, tissues, drinking straws, spare serviettes and plentiful cutlery are just a few of the items we were surprised to find. The family had also provided lots of information about the surrounding area, including tourists leaflets, local magazines and a list of the closest supermarkets with postcodes. The finishing touches were also perfect. The dinning table had already been laid and there were little teddy bears on every bed. This is our first cottage experience, and we felt the cottage was deserving of a four star rating rather than the three stars it had been given. It was a perfect place to stay and we would most definitely look to stay here again if we wanted a holiday in this area."

"The cottage was extremely well equipped with everything that one might require. All was clean & very comfortable. The elaborate planting of the garden areas was both a joy to the eye as well as ensuring privacy. The 4 bedrooms meant we had various relatives to stay for varying short periods who we would have been unable to see during such a fully planned fortnight. It was interesting to be able to see what life could be like in a such a "Chocolate Box Village" as Berwick St. James for the relatively small percentage of the UK population who could afford the (presumably very high) local property prices - many residents either had a Mercedes-Benz set of wheels parked kerbside or an immaculately clean & shiny large 4WD which seemed unlikely ever to leave the black-top."

"It was raining but the house was warm and cosy so you didn't really want to leave. The open plan living downstairs was great, lots of books and toys for the kids and the kitchen was well equipped. The kids loved running up and down the long corridor upstairs. Everything was good quality and spotlessly clean. We found a walking trail nearby that took us all the way into Salisbury. After a good walk (with the children) we ended up in the playground and in Salisbury city centre...a really lovely scenic walk practically on the doorstep. When the weather was dry the sloping garden was great fun for the kids too with the little tree house and the river (which is gated off) at the end of the garden The owner was lovely too, but they left us alone which was nice."
