"Great location only around 300 metres to High Street and lots of choice of restaurants. View over the river Brede is lovely and binoculars are provided to watch the seabirds. The river is tidal and it is interesting watching the tide rise! Apartment is comfortable and well equipped. DVDs and games provided and a CD player as well as Freeview TV. Lots of leaflets for days out. Allocated parking space and about 12 steps up to the apartment. Jempsons supermarket is 0.5 miles / 10 minute walk away as well as the Railway station so do not need to take the car everywhere. Spoilt for choice for eating out but recommend Cobbles Tea Room, The Standard Inn and Hoof. Days out include Rye Nature Reserve (2.4 miles away), Hastings (20 minute train journey £6.30 day return per person), Howletts Animal Park (1 hour drive), Bodiam Castle (30 minutes drive) but we found Rye itself to be lovely enough to spend a few days wandering round its great shops and eateries (as well as a small castle!). Would recommend S13970 and hope to come back again."

"Lovely pet friendly cottage in a great location.Situated down a quite unmade road, attached to the owners home, you are left alone but they are there if you need them. There was a towel and treats left for our Jack Russell's arrival. The cottage was very clean with everything we wanted, with the nice addition of milk, tea, coffee, salt and vinegar, which is normally missing from so many other places we have stayed.Close to footpaths and parks for long dog walks.Situated just 5 minutes from the town with is interesting history, windmill, supermarket and plenty of places to eat. We didn't need to use the car during our stay.We rarely visit the same area twice, but if we do, we will definitely go back to S41306, without a doubt."

"Lovely, comfortable cottage. Ideally placed to explore the surrounding counties. Peasemarsh had nice facilities and there were many options for eating out without having to travel too far. Excellent local supermarket which included a filling station and cafe only around half a mile from the cottage. Our hosts were always available if needed and very helpful with information etc. The facilities within the cottage were comprehensive and great care had obviously been taken with selecting furniture, fittings and entertainment and catering needs. We are seriously considering returning in the future to continue to explore this lovely part of England."

"We had a very peaceful and relaxed weekend at the cottage with our dog Frankie. The cottage is very pretty, and well supplied with home comforts. It is a good base to visit Rye, Winchelsea and Camber Sands. Rye was a suprising treasure and very dog friendly. The real down side was that I could not walk from the cottage with the dog, other than a small lane leading to three other properties. The B road next to the cottage was not safe to walk along, as there is no path and traffic is travelling at speed. This meant we had to take the car when ever we wanted to get out and explore the surrounding country side."

"We enjoyed our holiday at the Orchard, the pool was really lovely and deep, they could do with more comfortable garden furniture and inside could stand some sprucing up. There was plenty of space inside, the bedroom facilities were fine, taking our own towels was a pain though. It's next to a corn field so I should think harvesting time is a challenge. The owners bungalow is behind the main house but we didn't feel overlooked. It's about 20 minutes to the sea. We had dogs and the garden was enclosed and fine for them. The pool is definitely the main attraction though."
