What our customers are saying about our Holiday Cottages In Rye Harbour To Rent.
- Jason S, August 2015 - verified booking
"We stayed here as 3 adults and 1 baby and overall we found the cottage very good and it met our needs for our stay perfectly. The location is excellent, just a short walk to the dunes and it meant that we could carry our baby to the beach and didn't have to worry about pushchairs / baby seats getting dirty and sandy (we saw many other parents struggling!). The property is generally in very good condition and is well decorated throughout and is made to feel very homely with some nice little decorations to add to the feel. It is well equipped and the kitchen had basically everything we could hope for in a holiday rental to help make your stay easier, including a good table and baby seat. The bedrooms were good size and comfortable for us, even with a cot (provided) in the room there was plenty of space. The bathroom was a good size and the shower was excellent! There were a few minor things that we didn't like; The toilet was "generous" and always left a present behind after every flush. There was no mattress for the baby cot. Given that we came from abroad this was a issue for us and we had to buy one specifically for our stay. The floor boards were squeaky, could be an issue if you have young kids in bed. The TV volume would go up and down all the time. It was worse on TV channels with poorly quality. The gardens front and rear were fully pebbled. This made it not a nice and welcoming place to sit outside The internet was a bit slow, but I assume this is an issue with Camber in general being such a small rural place, so maybe I'm being a bit harsh here! The pictures are a good representation of the property although some suggested that it actually is better than the photos! And I would not hesitate to stay again if we decide to come back to Camber."

"Great location. Very close to the beach and local amenities (about two hundred yards from the beach, bus stops and shops). Good location for day trips. If you like walking, you can walk into Rye (about four miles). There are buses which run regularly in both directions including Rye, Hastings, Dymchurch, Folkestone, Dover etc. The property is clean with all the amenities you need. Plenty of space for two adults and two children. The beach is perfect for young families, sandy with lifeguards. Another major advantage is the private parking bay, just a few yards from the house - saving you £12 a day parking fees. We would certainly recommend staying at this cottage and if we go back to this area, we would like to stay there again."

"The rooms are spacious, comfortable and nicely furnished. The housekeepers had left many extras, small things that sometimes you have to go out and buy when you arrive at a holiday cottage, salt, coffee etc. There is a short walk from the parking area down a small path to the house and for me this wasn't a problem, but for my partner who has a mobility problem meant after a day out he did struggle. The garden at the back of the house was also difficult for him as the whole area is covered in large pebbles which he couldn't walk on. However we enjoyed our stay at the Sand Dunes, a most comfortable and relaxing house, and a big bonus was we had amazing weather!!!."

"The apartment overlook a channel to the river. This meant we could see the tide coming and going and watch the bird activity. The occasional boat coming up the channel also made for interest. There are no other properties overlooking the apartment so it all felt very private. The walking in the area was wonderful - and so too are the places for tea where we could put back on any weight we lost by walking! The owner was extremely welcoming and made contact before we arrived and was very helpful. Definitely a place to return to and one we would recommend."

"The welcome we received from the hosts was warm and inviting and we were made to feel that nothing was too much trouble. Hop House is a wonderful place to stay. It was beautifully clean and so well equipped that we were able to use the kitchen to the full, enjoy the garden and feel comfortable throughout the house. Our little dog was also welcome which meant a great deal to us and the location proved to be very convenient too; quiet but only a short drive into Hastings. We thoroughly recommend this as a first class place to stay."
