What our customers are saying about our Romantic Cottages In Battle To Rent.

"S42451 is a fabulous property in a stunning location and picturesque area and we were lucky enough to have the fabulous May Bank Holiday sunshine. However, please be warned the comings and goings of a young family with 4 boys and 2 dogs intruded on our privacy and tranquillity. The front door of the property opens directly onto a gravel drive. When cars come up the drive the noise is incredible. (In good weather the door needs to be open to get some air flow)Neither the paddock or the garden are secure. Coupled with the fact that the single track lane, directly in front of the property, was surprisingly busy meant that dogs had to be very closely supervised at all times. We hope this review is helpful to those for whom the points we have made would have been a problem."

"3 nights spent here. Friendly welcome from owners, Andrew and Penny, spacious grounds to walk dog next to small holding. Cottage is just right size, but bedroom does have steep stairs and the roof gable does limit movement when upstairs. Would be hot in high summer but fine for our visit. Sedlescombe around corner has nice pub, Queens Head, good food and beer and welcomes dogs inside. The location is good for local attractions like Rye, Bexhill/Hastings and Beachy Head about 30 minutes drive. Weather was good also which helped!"

"Very sweet cottage. Owners were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Perfect for a short break and in a good location to see some local sights. Very nice courtyard garden shared with the other holiday cottage. We didn't bring pets but it would have been perfect for a dog or two. Bedroom is small as described but comfortable bed. Not suitable for anyone with poor mobility. Only thing that would have been helpful is a baking tray in the kitchen as there was only the grill tray to use. Would recommend and would stay again."

"Excellent accommodation. As an ex-farmer I spent plenty of time working in a corn bin, but never expected to actually stay in one! Thank you for the warm, friendly welcome and showing us the aircraft. We will definitely come back in the summer to see more of the area.Old Hastings; the harbour is really nice. Bexhill is very pleasant. Rye is a lovely old town. Hastings Country Park and Beachy Head well worth a look."

"Had a lovely week, despite my injury. Very quiet and peaceful so I wouldn’t recommend it for teenagers but ideal for me. Rather pricey for food and drink 🍷 but to be expected. Staff exceptionally friendly and accommodating. Bonus to park by lodge. There’s no entertainment at night, which suited me fine. If you want a break to just chill, this is ideal."
