The Dairy is a charming semi-detached barn conversion in the village of Llay near Rossett, with wonderful exposed beams and lovely stripped pine doors. This property is ideal for families or groups of friends sharing, with French windows leading from the farmhouse kitchen onto a private patio and is within a short drive of local amenities, the nearby town of Wrexham, and the historic city of Chester. When you arrive at your holiday home, you will be greeted by off-road parking before making your way into the living/dining room, a lovely space for gathering with loved ones in front of the coal-effect fire after a day of exploring, or dining as a family while you plan your next expeditions. The kitchen has everything you need for a self-catering break, including an electric cooker with a double oven and a handy dishwasher to help with cleaning. Your evening entertainment can be found in the external games room, which houses table tennis, table football, and a pool table, allowing you to let your competitive side loose. When you've had your fill of walking, retire to one of the three well-presented bedrooms; the master is a double with an en-suite shower room for extra privacy, and the remaining two bedrooms, a twin and an adult bunk, are served by a family bathroom, where you can choose to soak after a day of walking, or quickly rinse off before heading out to one of the nearby pubs for a meal. Outside, make use of the shared garden space, where you can dine al fresco with a barbecue during the warmer months while the kids play in the dedicated play area. Rossett lies just inside the Welsh border, sitting on the banks of the River Alyn. It is surrounded by good, gentle walking country with much of the landscape being very flat, although hills do rise to the south and west. The village itself is made up of many striking buildings, such as Trevalyn Hall and a church that was built in 1892 by two architects and uses tubular bells to peal. Rossett is well situated for visitors to explore local attractions such as Chester Zoo, the Cheshire Ice Cream Farm and the ancient ruins of Beeston Castle. The River Alyn offers sport and tranquillity for fishermen and wildlife enthusiasts alike. Herons, cormorants, water voles and kingfishers are still to be seen along the Alyn and the fishing is plentiful.
