This cosy, stone-built cottage is in an elevated situation with views extending towards the Moelwyn mountains with a back drop of hillside scenery and offers comfy, unique accommodation and is an ideal setting for a romantic holiday getaway or a family base from which to explore the area. The cottage has lots of charm and character with original features such as slate flagstone floor and exposed ceiling beams. The cottage has undergone a comprehensive scheme of refurbishment by its current owner and offers a cosy welcoming retreat with a comfy sitting room and a wonderful inglenook fireplace housing a warming wood burning stove, a well-appointed modern kitchen with dining area with two nicely appointed bedrooms and a modern shower room upstairs. There is a front garden with a covered veranda complete with bench, and a pretty rear enclosed garden, so after a busy day exploring, why not return to your cottage to enjoy a relaxing drink and enjoy the stunning countryside and mountain views? 200 yards away takes you to Melin Pant Yr Ynn which is an old slate mill, being the earliest surviving in Blaenau Ffestiniog. Next to this is a private house, owned by Falcon Hildred, a renowned local artist. The surrounding area of this lovely cottage is ideal for walking or cycling, with the famous Llechwedd slate mines, downhill mountain bike trails, ZipWorld Titan and Bounce Below all close by. If you would prefer something more relaxing, then a journey on the Ffestiniog Steam Railway to Porthmadog is well worth a trip. Porthmadog has many beautiful beaches to choose from, all of which are perfect for relaxing and enjoying the breathtaking views of the area, or why not visit the attractive village of Portmeirion before returning to unwind in this delightful cottage? This lovely self-catering cottage provides an ideal base for a holiday or short break any time of year.

The fascinating old town of Blaenau Ffestiniog is situated in a superb position for exploring the Snowdonia National Park. There is a good selection of shops, pubs and places to eat. The main local attractions include Zip World Slate caverns, the longest zip line in Europe. The slate mines - where visitors can take enthralling underground trips to see mining as it was done in days gone by - and the famous narrow gauge Ffestiniog mountain railway which runs for 13 miles through the Snowdonia National Park to the harbour town of Porthmadog.
