Lying at the foot of Mount Snowdon, Beddgelert is situated in the heart of the Snowdonia National Park. A busy village, it is centred around the Afon Glaslyn river, just a short walk from the Aberglaslyn Pass. The Welsh Highland Steam Railway passes through Beddgelert on its way from Porthmadog to Caernarfon.

Home from Home. Views from the cottage are lovely and plenty of walking from the doorstep. Perfect location for local walks or a short drive to many of the Snowdon paths, we walked the Watkin path and lucky that the weather was sunny and mild for the time of the year. Beddgelert a 10min drive. Beddgelert to Porthmadog a 15min drive. The owner is on hand if you need anything but makes sure your welcomed when you arrive. Definitely one that weâll be returning to.

The cottage was very clean and well equipped and the owner could not have been more friendly and helpful (whilst also giving us privacy and space). The garden was secure for our pooch and there was a lovely terrace to sit out on should the weather allow. Walks from the door include the spectacular riverside walk up to Beddgelert (though care is needed on the route during wet weather and high water). Nantmor has a stop on the Welsh Highland Railway. Go stay and don't believe any negative reviews about this accommodation.

But when we arrived they just donât do the cottage justice. Itâs warm, cosy, homely and super clean and we felt relaxed as soon as we stepped inside. The location is perfect and although we had plenty of rain we still got out and enjoyed ourselves. The garden is lovely and secure for our two beagles with a good fence all round. I just hope they didnât make too much noise!! There was no rumble of distant traffic and the night skies were awesome with no light pollution. It was everything I wanted for a break to celebrate my 50th and is a credit to the owner.
