"Full Of character and very comfortable and warm ."

" Had we been told we would definitely not have made the booking. Cleaning was only superficial. The cottage was not at all welcoming. We have been to many cottages in the past and this one was the worst by a country mile. Village and surrounding area beautiful as always-even the weather was kind to us. Beds awful. Dining facilities were farcical ! ! ! "

" It has everything you will need and much more. There are plenty of maps, DVDs, a couple of books and some children’s games. The cottage is clean and very tidy. I was surprised as how well equipped the kitchen is. Lots of power points. Excellent WiFi. There is a bench in the front which is nice to sit down after a trek, have a coffee and enjoy the sound of the river opposite the cottage. Rowen is friendly and quiet so, no noise pollution and a great sleep will be ensued. Gary is very amiable and understanding; I broke a light and he replaced it the same day!!! I highly recommend Swan Cottage and would definitely book again. Thank you Gary for sharing your little gem. "

" We felt cozy and comfortable during the bad weather and nice and cool in the good weather. It was nice to stay in such an historic building in a beautiful part of Wales. Would definitely consider a return visit "
    Zed1085 ‐ 1 Aug 2019
" Just spent a wonderful week at Swan cottage. Good location for exploring Snowdonia. The cottage itself was cosy, clean and ample for our needs. The village was quiet and the locals were friendly. Good ales and food at the pub, which was only 20 yards away. Only thing to watch out for is some of the door frames were a bit low for anyone over 5'10". The cottage dates back to the 1500's and folk were obviously shorter then! "
    beverlyb000 ‐ 1 Aug 2019
" What an amazing cute little cottage, very cosy and all the amenities you need, lovely little stream just outside the door for picnics, had amazing week there, very welcoming village, locals very friendly, pub just 20yds from the cottage with lovely food, well worth a visit. "

" In a very pleasant village with pub close by. "
    Mr Laverty ‐ 1 May 2019
" The cottage kitchen and bathroom resembled a student let. Beds uncomfortable and sheets not fresh and clean. Only managed to tolerate 1 night. Excessively expensive for what the cottage has to offer. Beautiful part of the world but to enjoy it to its fullest, don’t book this cottage. "
    Mr Delaney ‐ 1 Apr 2019
" Rowen is a beautiful and peaceful place with very friendly locals. It is a great location from which to explore Snowdonia. We will definitely return. The Cottage itself was lovely with everything you could need for a short or long stay. I will definitely be recommending this place. "
    Mrs Grant ‐ 1 Jul 2018
"When we arrived and opened door a horrid damp smell met us and lingered so we had to have doors open a lot, sponge that was left to wash up with looked like it had been used to wash the floors it was so dirty so we bought a new one and bath mat looked so old and tatty we went out and bought a new one as we couldn't bring ourselves to stand on it. Also hair on bath both sides so was obviously not cleaned properly after last person and we know it wasn't ours coz we r both blond and it was long and dark!!! Washing machine good but no garden to dry it in which we didn't realise although there was a clothes airer. Damp smell was there all week!! Shame really because north wales is beautiful."
    Mrs May
"Gary the owner was very prompt and helpful when we had a tap in the bathroom fail. We enjoyed our stay, plenty of room and heat !"

" We enjoyed our stay, plenty of room and heat ! "
    Mr Dunley
"Cottage was lovely, the area and walks were lovely but the only issue we had was the shower as it was like a trickle, the pressure in the taps were fine until it was changed to the shower head. All in all though a very enjoyable experience and location"
    Mr Dunley, November 2017
