Local attractions: Previous guests recommend a walk in the woods around Betws Y Coed, Aber Falls, Bodnant Gardens, Harlech Castle, Snowdon, Port Meirion, Llechwedd slate caverns and Conway Castle. For the more active a day of mountaineering or kayaking at Plas Y Brenin or the nearby Tree Tops high rope adventure course. Local Restaurants: The Royal Oak Hotel in Betws Y Coed has great food, Ty Gwyn Inn with a "fantastic atmosphere" is a short walk away. If you prefer to do the cooking yourself the butcher in Trefiw (10 minutes drive to the North) is highly recommended.

Entering the house through the porch and into the lounge on the first floor you are greeted with wonderful views through the picture window of the valley, river and steep wooded hills. The high raftered ceiling and open space of the lounge leads into the kitchen-diner and from here the comfortable ground floor bedrooms and bathrooms can be accessed by the stairs. Many visitors enjoy sitting outside in the evening and listening to the sound of the stream running into the pond. You should be able to see some of the local wildlife and list what you spot in the cottage's wildlife notebook.
