About this property

In the heart of the Conwy Valley, midway between Conwy and Betws-y-Coed, lies this delightful semi-detached holiday property. With a spacious lounge/dining room and a lovely large kitchen, it provides plenty of space for relaxing. It’s within walking distance of Surf Snowdonia (one mile), the world’s first artificial surfing lagoon – why not watch the surfing action with a coffee on the terrace? Historic Conwy offers one of the most complete town walls in Europe, plus the mighty 13th Century castle, built by Edward I, now a unesco World Heritage Site. Visit Plas Mawr (Cadw), Aberconwy House and Conwy Suspension Bridge (NT) or take a walk along the quay where fresh fish are landed daily. A little further on is the Victorian resort of Llandudno with the famous Great Orme beckoning the visitor. In the other direction lies the market town of Llanrwst with its famous bridge dating back to 1636 and adjacent tea room, whilst Betws-y-Coed, the ’gateway to Snowdonia’ lies a little further on.

Ty Hwynt I’r Afon can be booked with Riverside Cottage (CC613033) to accommodate up to 11 guests.

Unfortunately this beautiful cottage was let down by its awful hygiene! The kitchen utensils, plates, cups etc We're filthy! The whole house was dirty, floors furniture, cobwebs in the bedrooms and dust. The shower dial was upside down so people were either getting a freezing cold shower or scolding hot. There was only 1 fireguard in the house with 2 log burners. There was damp around the house. And worst of all we went in January and it was freezing and the heating barely worked the whole time we were there! We also had 3 children there and we were waking up freezing and going to bed cold! It's ridiculous as it's a huge house. Shame really because it's a gorgeous cottage in a lovely place.

We have stayed in lots of cottages around this location and this is the best one so far. Its very big well equiped and the hot tub is brilliant. We went in winter so didnt use the garden but the outdoor space is big and great for bbqs. Some great walks right from the cottage but beware if you dont like walking up hills!

A great place to get away from it all

We were slightly disappointed with the living room as we couldn't sit in it as the smell of soot was terrible and we suffer with asthma.

We had a lovely weekend here as a family. House is beautiful and is in a nice and peaceful setting. Plenty of room in all the bedrooms. Gorgeous en-suite with Roll top bath. Hot tub was huge and clean. Didn't get round to using the BBQ as it was the wrong time of year but can imagine it would be lovely in the summer months to sit outside. Terry was a lovely guy, showed us round the house and how things worked etc. Will definitely be booking again.

Fantastic house with a wonderful owner who was so helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Hot tub is fantastic. Surf snowdonia right on the doorstep. Will be booking again without a doubt

The house is lovely lots of things need fixing handles on bathroom doors sofa wasn't fixed from the people who stayed before us. There was lots of problems from the neighbour he switched of water supply... also when we was in hot tub he was banging of fence shouting things ,it wasn't nice as we was all girls with young children. When we got home I got a call from local police saying there's been a problem with the neighbor from hell for about 4 years, I definitely would not of booked if I knew .

The property was fenced off ok although my dog did manage to get in the neighbours garden, the only thing I would suggest is a picket sized fence at the side of the house so I can keep my dog contained and there not right down the drive whilst trying to enjoy the hot tub

It was a lovely house with plenty of room for 8 adults. It was a little unclean in the kitchen on arrival. There's a few bits of work on going but some lovely features like the roll top bath. The hot tub was a great feature situated in a lovely garden. The log burning fires were delightful.
