Explore Snowdonia and its fantastic range of walking, cycling, scenery and wildlife. The village of Trefriw is in the Conwy Valley and is in the Snowdonia National Park. Trefriw is ideally placed for activities and attractions with the National Park and the North Wales Coast nearby. The village offers shops and pubs. There is also a woollen mill and craft shop. The Trefriw Wells Spa is worth a visit. Fishing is available on the River Conwy and also in the lakes in the hills above Trefriw, notably Llyn Crafnant. The area is a walker’s paradise and there are routes around and above the village. Other local attractions include Gwydyr Castle, a fine example of a Tudor courtyard house, and the extensive Gwydyr Forest Park. Llanrwst is an old market town with local shops across the River Conwy from Trefriw by a bridge. Betws-y-Coed, North Wales' most popular inland resort, is also only a short drive away.
