We were led to believe the cottage had been 'deep-cleaned' due to extra requirements however it had clearly not been cleaned in weeks. There were visible cobwebs everywhere, dirt on the floor and overall lacked any attention to detail. The plates and cutlery etc were all dirty and had to be washed before use. We had booked for 4 people but were only supplied with two towels. There was no shower gel or soap for when you did want to shower (please be aware you have to lie down in the bath to shower as not even a borrower could stand). We were not supplied with milk, tea, coffee or any of the usual homely bits we expect when going to cottages. As soon as we arrived and parked in front of the house as the ad states the neighbour came out and starting shouting at us as we were near her drive, not even covering it. We went to the local pub as suggested and there was a sign saying all non-welsh go home as we were not welcome, saying we were causing the locals distress. From minute one we were felt to be intruders and that is the last thing we expected when going on holidays for the weekend. It says two small dogs can stay, however there is no yard or garden and the front door opens on to a road, so it is definitely not safe for dogs to come unless you want to have them on leads at all times. It also states there is a games room, unless that means the stairs which are like a challenge on takeshi's castle that is an outright lie. I feel we were mis-sold a peaceful cottage trip away for the weekend and have come back more angry than pleased. We were unable to put the heating on, the boiler said 'water-only', so we had to be cold which is just horrific customer service - to not allow customers to put the heating on is quite frankly unacceptable. There is no phone service and no internet, so when you feel you're not accepted in the pub you're restricted to channels 1-5 in a cold room. As per previous reviews, I can confirm there is no thermostat in the cottage. DO NOT STAY HERE.

00 but the cottage was not ready till 18.00 due to the last people leaving in such a mess. No apology. Rang for key number, no answer.

There were cobwebs all over the house. The crockery had to be cleaned before use because there was still food present. The house wasn't the cleanest in general and I think the provision of just 2 TV channels should have been mentioned in the write up. I am not a complainer but this house was not up to the standards that we normally expect.
