A charming village property perfectly located for travelling into Cardiff and exploring the charming villages and coast of the Vale of Glamorgan.

3 Red Cow Cottages, situated in the centrally located South Wales village of Groesfaen and close to Cardiff, is a recently refurbished end terraced property with a few quirks that simply add to the charm of this well-thought out holiday home. There is plenty of comfy seating in the stylish living room with the woodburner as the focal point and three steps lead up to the further ground floor living areas. The kitchen is a modern, good-sized galley style with electric oven, gas hob, fridge/freezer and there is a utility room with a washer/dryer. The narrow dining room with feature stone wall has a table with bench seating and three chairs and the contemporary bath/shower room is also downstairs. WiFi is included along with logs for the woodburner and as well as the Freeview Flatscreen TV and DVD player there is a radio, games, books and a welcome tray. Upstairs you have the main bedroom with a double bed. The second, smaller room has a cubby hole bed where you climb into a 'hole in the wall', but please note that this is quite high off the ground and not particularly suitable for the less able or young children. There is also a single futon-style sofabed for alternative sleeping arrangements.

A rear door gives access out to the garden and the first small patio. A few steps take you up to a larger patio area with feature slate table and benches as well as a small lawn. A charcoal barbecue is provided and there is a handy outside tap. The garden is fully enclosed with a lockable side entrance gate. Parking is in an unreserved area beyond the bus stop just over the road from the cottages but if this is full, on road parking is possible.

Extremely well positioned for exploring the Vale of Glamorgan, being less than 2 miles from the M4, and Cardiff centre is just a 20 minute drive away or you can take the bus. Places of interest nearby include St Fagans National History Museum, the iconic castles of Castell Coch and Caerphilly and the market town of Cowbridge. The Glamorgan Heritage Coastline offers plenty of wonderful beaches including Southerndown and Monknash with the nearest being at Barry Island 11 miles away. Margam Park for outdoor activities is a 25 minute drive away and both the Afan Forest for mountain biking and the Brecon Beacons are both only about a 30 minute drive.
