About this property

Edw View is a large, 17th century cottage, full of rustic character nestled in quiet sleepy hamlet of Cregrina, just under 10 miles from Hay-on-Wye. Perfect for a family holiday, this spectacular house has five bedrooms so you can be sure to fit everyone in, while the surrounding area benefits from excellent walking terrain and for those skilled cyclists, a great opportunity to test themselves on the Welsh hills. You enter the property through the front porch, with ample space to kick off your muddy boots, if you take a left you come into the sitting room with a large, glass fronted woodburning stove, three comfy sofas in front of a HD Smart TV that's hooked up to the WiFi so you can stream a favourite film on a rainy day. On the other side is the dining room, which seats all the family so you can gather in the evening to tell the story of the days’ adventure, with original beams crossing the ceiling, and a large wooden table to enhance that homely country feel. This room opens out via double doors and into the utility room that holds the washing machine and microwave and a bed for the dogs. Moving on from the dining room you come into the beautiful country kitchen, which overlooks the stunning scenery and river outside, if you open the door you can walk straight out onto the terrace to have your morning coffee. Moving up the property to the first floor there are five bedrooms to be found, with the master bedroom containing a comfortable super-king-size and an en-suite bathroom with a deep bath which overlooks the garden and hills outside, along the corridor you find a double, a twin, a twin bunk-bed, and a single. There is another bathroom at the end of the corridor and a huge, walk-in shower for all the family to use. Tucked away upstairs like a secret den, a snug with another Smart TV and games console, so the kids can have their home comforts too, with a couple of steps leading back down to the kitchen so you can keep an eye on them! To the front and back of the property is a luscious garden, full of little nooks and crannies to explore, enclosed for your piece of mind when it comes to pets and children. A short stroll down to the bottom of the garden leads to the stream, if there are any keen anglers, Trout can be fished, or you can just sit under the festoon lights and enjoy a glass of wine whilst the stream gently ebbs by. There are several benches and garden seating for all the party to enjoy the outdoors in the summer months, with so much space and idyllic scenery you will have hardly any reason to leave the property, and the large field can be used for a kick about or to practice your cricket. If you feel the urge to explore, Hay-on-Wye has something for everyone, famous for its bookstores, Hay on Wye is just under 10 miles away over the hill, and if you’re feeling more energetic there are lots of walks and hikes locally so you can explore the surrounding countryside. Edw View allows you to connect with nature by simply stepping out of the front door, you’ll listen to the bubbling stream watch the birds or spot the Trout jumping, at night you can listen to the owls hooting or stare up at the stars. Edw View will be an excellent base for a family holiday to remember.

Llandrindid Wells lies in the county of Powys within Radnorshire in Wales. Evolved from a small farming community, this town turned into a place where Victorians travelled to for the spring water. There is still lots of architecture from that era, and more traffic came through after the opening of the Central Wales line from Knighton to Llandrindod Wells in 1865. Nowadays the town has many things on offer, from restaurants and cafes to local attractions such as the Radnor Indoor Bowls Centre, Llandrindod Wells Lake, The Radnorshire Museum and The National Cycle Museum. You can hire bikes or just travel on foot with many walks freely available to find online or walkers books, so you can see the beauty of the area for yourself.
