Nestled on the edge of a cluster of cabins is this fabulously welcoming lodge, in the grounds of the owners’ home, close to a meandering river that winds its way through the valley, this delightful lodge is tucked away, ideal for family and friends looking to retreat from it all and relax in peaceful countryside. Accessed via a couple of steps and situated all on one floor, there are three well-presented bedrooms; two doubles boasting en-suite shower rooms and a twin, with an additional separate family bathroom. The large open-plan living area, with a high vaulted ceiling and warming woodburning stove, offers a well-equipped modern kitchen, plenty of plush seating and a dining area, perfect to relax after a day of exploring. Outside, you can sit and enjoy the evening on the tiered decked garden with sloping lawns, and an elevated seating area provides far reaching views across the valley. The lodge benefits from the luxury of a hot tub perfect to sit and relax with a cool drink as the sun goes down. The River Twymyn runs through the valley and alongside the lodges, from where you may see an elusive resident otter or mink. Situated in the heart of the Mid Wales countryside, there is an abundance of wildlife where you are likely to see red kites, owls, buzzards, squirrels, rabbits and pheasants. A short yet scenic walk takes you to the pleasant amenities of Llanbrynmair, benefiting from Machinations visitor centre with cafe, children's' play barn and rabbit village and a shop. You are ideally placed to make the most of the stunning landscape and Cambrian mountains of the Snowdonia National Park, yet within a 40-minute drive, the landscape changes to the delightful coastline of Cardigan Bay with its sandy beaches and craggy coves. The majestic dams of the Elan Valley are also within easy reach. Fantastic walking, cycling, sailing and fishing nearby with a variety of nature reserves, a mile from Glyndwr Way and seven miles from Hafren Forest and Llyn Clywedog. Why not have a go at clay pigeon shooting, the Dovey Valley shooting ground is only 8 miles away. The Paddock will be a beautiful place to spend time with your loved ones, right in the midst of the lovely countryside. Situated within the county of Powys, is the small village of Llanbrynmair, resting between Carno and Machynlleth. Within the market town of Machynllet, you will find a wealth of shops, pubs, restaurants and shops, set amid the rolling hills of Mid Wales. Further afield is the larger market town of Aberystwyth, where you can spend a day at the beach, explore the Aberystwyth Arts Centre or visit the castle.
