The cottage was fine, and beautifully warm and cosy, which we needed when we stayed. The best thing, though, was the superb location, and the lovely warm welcome we had from Mrs. Wigley on arrival.

Myself, my partner (Thomas) and our dog (Sam the Hairy Lurcher) stayed at this wonderful cottage for three nights in late October (we were very lucky with the weather - it was sunny and glorious!) whilst Thomas was doing an ecology course at Centre for Alternative Technology (CAT). The cottage has everything you need for a comfortable stay (even an electric blanket which was an amazing treat after a long day hiking up Cadair Idris!). The area is beautiful and has lots of good walking in the local area. There are some lovely eateries and shops in nearby Machynlleth. Nora is an excellent host. Great check-in instructions. We hope to stay again soon. Thank you!

Lovely welcome in a very friendly village. We settled right in with the delicious Welsh cakes Nora left us. Cosy and warm - far warmer than we're used to in fact. Everything we needed was there and we had a good relaxed stay despite the temperamental rainy weather. Our son enjoyed imitating the cockerel over the street. A great place to stay and we'd come back again. Thanks!
