Montgomery 4 miles. A traditional, detached cottage located in the grounds of the owner's working flour mill, on the outskirts of the village of Churchstoke on the English/Welsh border. Thoughtfully and very comfortably furnished throughout, to provide spacious accommodation, the cottage is ideal for families and friends enjoying a holiday in this beautiful part of the country. The cottage seamlessly combines original features such as exposed beams, wooden floors and a feature fireplace with a bread oven, with contemporary furnishings. The three bedrooms offer versatile accommodation, while the first floor bathroom boasts a Jacuzzi bath, ideal for a relaxing soak. The ground floor has a useful hallway, where you can store your outdoor clothing, which leads you to the large kitchen boasting a Rangemaster cooker, slate flooring and a door out to the rear garden. The welcoming sitting room has a window seat and sumptuous sofas around a woodburning stove, which is housed in an original inglenook fireplace. Next door, the dining room is perfect for sitting with friends over a meal, or enjoying a family board game. Outside, guests can enjoy the large enclosed garden, dine alfresco or sit and relax in the hot tub after a busy day out discovering the area. The village of Churchstoke has two village pubs and an excellent local supermarket, while Montgomery has a good range of shops, restaurants and pubs just four miles away. Many lovely walks can be enjoyed from the doorstep of the cottage, and Offa's Dyke Path is also close by. This is a lovely base for a relaxing holiday in this wonderful area.

The historic village of Churchstoke on the English/Welsh border offers a supermarket, two pubs and a church. A few miles away is the town of Montgomery which has many timber-framed houses, cobbled streets and the ruins of a 13th century hill-top castle, along with a number of individual shops, pubs and restaurants.
