"It would be a lovely holiday home in the summer and we felt very welcomed by the owner but it was very cold inside the house. The radiators and hot water ran off the log burner which meant you had to light it and check it every 30 minutes. Even when it was blasting it still did not heat the front room to a cosey temperature. We then had to use the plug in electric heaters which would of been fine but we had to pay for the electric as we used it putting pound coins in the metre which cost a good £6+ a day. If the electric was included I would return but unfortunately it lead to a holiday constantly worrying about whether we had change and how we was going to heat the home. Not the luxury cottage stay I was hoping for unfortunately."

    "Lovely location to explore."

"We were not greeted on arrival. The accommodation lacked any feeling of being cared for, for some considerable time. There were several items which did not work or were broken and the kitchen equipment was shoddy, meaning that we did not feel comfortable preparing any food, and ate out. This is not something one would expect to do on a self-catering holiday. The working farm and its surroundings, far from being something one would wish to be involved in, was definitely to be avoided, as it was more akin to Steptoe's scrapyard."

"Lovely cottage. Milking goats in the morning was really special. Hot water run from log burner which took a bit of getting used to (perfect after first day) - although immersion there as back up. Pitch black at night! Not used to that. 20 min pleasant walk over fields into village."

"We loved staying here, it was so peaceful, and relaxing.Perfect location for us, we were out walking in the Brecon beacons every day with our puppy. We will definitely come back, next time for longer. It was lovely staying on a working farm, one highlight for me was getting to milk one of the goats and feed one of the babies :))Can't wait to come back"

"The area was perfect. The cottage is essentially in a mucky farm yard, no view. Car and shoes get filthy. There is rubbish and junk all around, including a dead lamb opposite the front door for a day. No welcome pack, on arrival the cottage was cold, we had to go out and buy coal and logs etc. I guess we were spoiled by Cockleshell cottage over the new year."

"Absolutely loved it, would love to book again if we could find a time when it's available.Nice to step away from central heating and be a little back to basics again. Saying that, everything you need was catered for."

"We arrived quite late at night to this lovely cottage, so it was a a bit chilly when we arrived! However, the next day, having explored the area, lit the wood burning stove and settled in, it soon became a cozy, romantic getaway for the two of us. The owner was amazing and helped us out with how to work the fire and water and responded promptly to any issues or questions we had. We would definitely stay here again!"

"Excellent location - close to Abergavenny and Brecon if you need human contact or run out of shampoo - far enough away that you dont have to see anyone at all. So many walks out of the front door, easy access to the rest of the Brecons, the accomodation was lovely and the family excellent hosts. Sept 2012."

"This property is lovely and cosy. The location is excellent as there are many walks from the doorstep meaning it is possible to leave the car. The owners are very welcoming and accommodating going out of their way letting occupants borrow bikes and giving lifts into the village. The village itself is lovely with a wide selection of good pubs. March 2012. "

"Very cosy and comfortable, peace and quiet was very welcome. Superb produce supplied for breakfast, in fact we must have gained a few pounds inspite of all the walking we did. The dogs were welcomed in so many places, and thoroughly enjoyed the variety of walks. June 2011."
