"We had a fabulous time in Brecon. The cottage was great, it even had a slow cooker! The beds were very comfortable. My dog relaxed and the garden was perfect for him. We found everyone we came across in Brecon very friendly. Will definitely be back 😊"

"We were overall very impressed with Colins cottage. It was conveniently situated to everything that we needed to do and our whole break was immensely enjoyable. Great value for money."

"A brill long weekend, with all as we'd hoped. Very comfy bed, warm house, modern décor, safe area for the dog (once he got over the shock of plastic turf!). Didn't find much to excite in Brecon itself, but perfect location for exploring the wider area as is just off the bypass. Great to have the free carpark at the rear and use of the back entrance to sort out muddy paws etc. We stay in cottages a lot and would rank Carl's cottage as high on our list!"

"Lovely clean property. Maybe needed a few more hangers in the wardrobes, and a hook on the back of the bedroom doors, but other than that really well equipped! Nice comfy double bed, huge fridge-freezer and good sized rooms. The Drovers Arms nearby did good food, and the garage a little further down the road good for basic supplies. Easy to park."

"Cottage on the edge of the town, easy to find. Good location for a base to explore the Brecon Beacons. Everything you need in the cottage."

"Lovely cottage, clean, warm, comfortable, plenty of space, with tea/coffee/milk to arrive to. The master bed was really comfortable too. A few minor details lost the property one point. Some coat hooks to hang coats would be nice. A few more clothes hangers would help (only 4 in one bedroom and 7 in the other). Washing up liquid provided but only a dribble. Instructions were given for putting out the recycling on the appropriate day, but no mention that the binmen have come and gone by 7.50am, so got missed. No mention of the non-recyclable rubbish, which was not cleared away on changeover day so the dustbin was overflowing on our arrival. The other point was lost for the garden and parking. We chose a property with a garden for the dog, so we could just open the back door for her 1st thing and last thing, unfortunately the plastic "grass" confused her somewhat, she didn't think she should be toileting on it, so we had to dress and take her out anyway. Parking was a little troublesome, most of the parking spaces at the rear are labelled for private use, and the only empty space was too small for our van. We managed to park out the front for 2 days but then day 3 we were unable to, thankfully a helpful allotment owner helped us out and we managed to find somewhere to park.Minor details, though, that did not spoil the holiday, so would still recommend a stay in this cottage"

"A lovely well cared for cottage with comfy furniture and spotless bedding . Good car parking at the rear of property . Might be helpful to have no on rear gate . The cottage was well equipped just a few small suggestions . A mirror near a plug for hair drying would be nice . And tin opener not very good . But decor comfort excellent . Beds very comfy . Excellent heating . A pleasure to stay at and Carl was so niceness and friendly to deal with. We would definitely stay again. Nice walk for dog from back garden along river . 10-15 min walk into town . Looking forward to coming back."

    JEREMY ‐ 3 Apr 2019
"Overall i was pleased with the cottage it was i pity though that there was no welcome pack as promissed and no washing up liquid to use."

"This is a lovely cottage and would recommend to anyone who wants to explore the Brecons. The owner is very helpful. The cottage is lovely and cosy. Recommend West End fish & chips down the road pass the garage. Recommend The Bank restaurant in Brecon they really welcome people with dogs."

"Comfortable and very clean. Everything we needed was there and the cottage was warm and welcoming. The Drovers arms was perfect for good food with a lovely waitress."
